    Isnt life full of coincidences.
Matchstickson toast was a stauch supporter of directparceldelivery and stops posting soon after they go belly up.
A newbie manages to find a new delivery company and then finds this thread and has to come here to ask us what we think
within a few minutes matchsticksontoast finds his keyboard again and posts that he has used them seemingly before the website is launched.
Then we hear the details of this new site and the old directparceldeliverysite have amazing similarities.
Isnt life just full of coincidences;) ;)
    This amused me.:rotfl:

They are totally different, I'm mean WHOIS says the owner of the domain is called Billy Bob.

Quick Q re. shiply.com: what are people's experiences using this site - do you tend to get quotes competitive with the "economy" (48/72hr) services from resellers, or is it more useful for those "awkward" big/heavy/quick requirements? (So far quotes have been v. high ie more than twice what I can book via the usual suspects).

No experience my self, but my understanding is its domain is big stuff.

Having said that we've just been giving exceptionally good rates from Speed Distribution (agents of nightfreight) for our 'ugly traffic'. So I don't know how useful they are anyway. Ultimately I'd say it comes down to how much you send.

I'm only a small-time eBayer, and a lot of my stuff is light enough to go Royal Mail so courier/parcel use is sporadic. Having said that, I have a bunch of heavier stuff at the moment, and SaleTrack are willing to offer me an account (£50 pre-pay) with prices @ £5.78 + VAT so I may go with that (vs £6.79 + VAT on Parcel2Go at the moment). Can't recall max weights but I'm nowhere near. I was surprised because they quote 100+ parcels pcm on their website, but £50 pre-pay obviously is only 8 parcels - maybe times are hard

SaleTrack does have a lot benefits, you have your own online interface where everything is tracked etc., manage balance, view statements etc, interestingly they are the only DHL agent where you can send up to 1.8m. Wieght limit is 28kg, volume is 6 cubic feet.

The fact saletrack are willing to take you on with only limited volume, really must worry interparcel, p2go and p4d.

One thing, just be aware it takes 5 days to set your sub account up.

Ta, I decided to go with p2go this time round but will definitely try SaleTrack. I went via a cashback site too but I have low expectations of it tracking/paying.

Is that on TopCashBack? Did they pay every time, or only the first parcel? If they pay every time I will be dumping Royal mail and sending everything p2gp lol.

    I've been Money Tipped!

FreightSearch are currently offering the best value with DHL48hr £6.89+vat and 24hr at £7.89+vat.

Noticed tonight freightsearch are now DHL 24hr for £6.89+vat:j which they were doing anyway on their 48hr service for me

  • I know it's not the cheapest, but it has to be one of the longest standing and has been the single most reliable courier service for me (I used to use them - until all these cheap ones kept on cropping up - though they never stayed around for long).

I honestly have to say it is very worthy of going on the list.
Sure the booking system may be picky about what web browser you use, but honestly, for Parcel Force deliveries I never had a problem with PF or SENDITNOW - always came on time as expected.

    Have a look: http://www.senditnow.com

Simple, easy pricing, good insurance and very large allowances (weight and volume)

I thought it is worth posting as all the cheap resellers seem to have gone out of business and they are the best I've used.
I know it sounds like I pushing it a bit hard, but I don't have any affiliation with the company, just a very happy customer :)
