  • Low Cost Parcel delivery.
    105 Thomas Way,

This address when put in to Google brings loads of other companies. Virtual office type of thing I'm guessing?

I do agree with you.i did the whois thing too, but i did palce an order with them last fri, and yestaday both were collected and delivered so at that price i dont care if the have an office on the moon, ha ha .
  • Hi

Oh I agree the Virtual office thing doesn't bother me either I just thought interesting that both Who Is were virtually the same and I thought the Virtual office thing just hides a bit more.
  • Could you leave it in a porch, shed or with a neighbour. Then if you do have to pop out leave a note on the door saying 'parcel in....'.

Certainly once you get to know your driver this is not a problem.

The other option is to manipulate cut-off times. For example freightsearch's booking cut-off is 1.30pm, so book after 1pm you know it will be in the afternoon. Just bear in mind booking very late does increase the chance of failed collections, especially in areas where the driver covers a large area.
Yay the parcel has been sent & received:j ...yes it was left in the porch & was not stolen! only had to pay four times:rolleyes: oh well se-la-ve
Thank you for taking the time to offer advise x

    Isnt life full of coincidences.
Matchstickson toast was a stauch supporter of directparceldelivery and stops posting soon after they go belly up.
A newbie manages to find a new delivery company and then finds this thread and has to come here to ask us what we think
within a few minutes matchsticksontoast finds his keyboard again and posts that he has used them seemingly before the website is launched.
Then we hear the details of this new site and the old directparceldeliverysite have amazing similarities.
Isnt life just full of coincidences;) ;)
  • Hi Kayster, too many coincidences!

I wonder if DPD sent any refunds because I never got mine and I still havent forgotten the fedex fiasco that caused problems for many users.
For those reasons, I will not be using lowcostparceldelivery as it is soooo obviously DPD in another guise and I urge others not to use them either.

If you do use them, dont say you werent warned!

I hope Armitage recognises matchsticks (aka DPD employee) for the spammer he is this time. I cannot for the life of me understand how he didnt see through it the last time.

I had that as well. This happened a few months back and I've used them a few times as pharosparcel and UPS turned up which i like. You need a printer to print out the UPS label. Prices are variable - some of the lighter weights are competitive to non EU europe. I'd reccomend them from my experience.
