thank you
I would recommend Interparcel and their Tytan service or their UPS economy.0 -
you still need to enter the parcel dimensions, which is what i want to avoid!
You can make a booking in seconds, but there's is no hiding from surcharges as you just get automatically billed.
If you just want quick booking freightsearch probably have the most streamlined process, a good 2 hours quicker than parcel2go for example.0 -
I booked a collection with parcel2go in the afternoon and before I could get the parcel wrapped, they arrived for it at 8am the next morning. I had to decline and it was then rebooked for yesterday, they didn't turn up and my buyer is fuming at having to wait.
I have cancelled the delivery via their automated phone but can I get a refund?Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -

The other thing is parcel2go are about the only courier agent who will rebook 'failed' collections without any questions. They have a failed collection section on their site, fill out one and it would re-booked for the following day.
Unfortunately now you've cancelled the booking there isn't anything you can do as it's a non-refundable service of which technically they full-filled their obligations.
However parcel2go live help is woeful, so your booking may not of been actually cancelled and so you could just try reporting it as failed collection and request it to be re-booked. Then see what happens.

Hmmmm, have parcel2go changed their prices? They're now £7.81 for up to 25kg whereas freightsearch charge more for anything above 15kg.
I'm sure I checked parcel2go before booking with freightsearch.
Btw - Armitage - you were spot on about DHL - I printed a label and just had to fill in a waybill sheet with sender & destination details and contents. Having just looked at the tracking details, it went to East Midlands and then on to Heathrow. Wouldn't have expected Midlands - London to go by air! Thanks for your help0 -

parcel2go do change their prices pretty much daily becasue they don't seem to know what they are doing, although it has settled down a little of late. The price is also a little misleading as they only allow up to about 4 cubic feet volume wise which is tiny. If you book a @home service direct with DHL you're allowed up to 8 cubic feet (I think).
Also there is this unaswered question....ArmitageShanks wrote: »why do parcel2go charge VAT on non EU deliveries when no one else does?0 -
Freightsearch website is down.
Hi Lud'ers, all good now. I notice they've got a new snow advisory banner so perhaps that was being uploaded when you tried go on.0 -
Does anyone know any cheap sources of boxes which are exactly 5 cubic feet? I.e. DHL's max allowed size?
I'm going to try the supermarket, but any more garunteed ones?0 -
Furthermore, does anyone know how you go booking a delivery if you want to drop it off at the depot yourself? I.e. you don't require a pickup?
I'm planning on using either parcel2go or interparcel, but cannot find info (but would be happy with specific info from any service)0
