KC thank-you for your wise and kind words :A (and I did think he'd come home :o I wasn't ready for this :o)

I will cross DFW off as one of the obstacles (however it should be achieved anyway)
If I'm lonely I'll come on here (works for other ex pats like Chev)
And I'll trust my sis to look after the aged P's (how controlling am I that I think that I'm the only one who does it properly?)
As for work - book-keepers are easily come by, who am I kidding thinking that I'm indispensable?

You and me must be brave then? We must take *calculated* risks.
Last night I was chatting with a mature member of the drama society who had joined only to help front of house. There's loads of chorus in the next production and I urged her to have a go, "to keep young" I said in a patronising manner, "you must be open to new things"..........:rotfl:

Yep. Emphasis, as you have, on the calculated bit....

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: laughed out loud at that! But see, you knew it yourself, really.

Thanks KC, my very own Sunshine Band :D

    Good MS news:
Yesterday I had a NSD - didn't have my purse with me for coffee) :j
And acquired a brand new new sheet (donated by a cast member for the bed, we divvied up his donations :D)

    Not so good MS news:
Total cost for both cars to be serviced = £550. Though I still have to get FOUR new tyres. The car will get more expensive from now on, but as it will be used a lot less (i.e. only when I am back in the country) there's no need to replace it just yet.

    Daft news:
I appear to have a part in the Christmas production :o despite only wanting to be prompt. :o:o:o

The agreement was for Christmas time this year.

But..................there's my dream part in April ;)

So I could retire at the end of this year, sort out everything this end and take lengthier and lengthier visits to Africa, until they join up :o should be first week of May by my calculations.

    Unless things change..........:p

It makes sense to do it via longer and longer visits - that way, you are easing yourself into it much more!

May seems like such a long time away - but then again, I can't wait for it to arrive either, because I should be more or less DF by then too :j
