In the cold light of day, it doesn't seem any cheerier in this household :o

The boiler keeps turning itself off over night (well has done the last couple of nights) :(
DD goes back to uni today :(
    I'm missing Popeye :(
Work is pants :( (Actually that isn't true, I like my job, I just hate the atmosphere in the office)
    Its cold and rainy
I'm going to miss Lizzie SO much :(

    On the other hand......

Having done the figures I could cut my hours and we could afford it from July 1st (one debt is gone then, saving £200 a month) :D
    DD did my housework :D
Popeye and I, and all my family (apart from the very elderly cat) are in tip top health. :D

Quality of life, that's what we're all looking forward to when we are debt free. But you're right Beannie, we must enjoy today, for tomorrow, who knows?

Have a good day everybody :o

Right! Onward with my plans for the weekend, my nice quiet weekend at home :o

I e-mailed my list to Popeye:the list so far =
    1. pot up beetroot seeds
    2. move seedlings to growhouse if Pa says so
    3. photograph boat for e-bay porpoises
    4. mark out the shape of the new shrubbery & clear the pots from within.
    5. Trim lavender bushes
    6. hack the undergrowth down in readiness for the new shrubbery
    7. hack the big perrennials on both sides and dig out unwanted stuff in the herb garden
    8. shop/cook etc
    9. change sheets on bed
    10. tidy bedroom
    11. start clearing the sitting room as DD has finally gone and DS2 won't be sleeping/eating/slobbing in there
    12. pick auditon pieces
    13. start rehearsal timetable
    14. write descriptions of the characters
    15. waste time Skyping Popeye
    16. catch up on filing
    17. take DS2 back to uni on Sunday
so I shall have my usual boring weekend.

    And his response:
    That's quite a list.

    I shall:

    1 Buy food
    2 Read the newspaper
    3 Play the piano
4 Go out for dinner Saturday evening
    5 Swim
6 Make some arrangements for you and mother's visit
7 Skype you in return (you've used the phrase "waste time")

    Not necessarily in that order.

    Ho Hum :rotfl:
  • He will need a rest after that Im sure!!

    10 1/2 weeks :D
    74 Days :D:D

    But whos counting

And in those 74 Days, I will have to pluck up courage to ask my boss if I can :o
I'm going to do it along the lines of:
"How about I save the company 20% of my salary but my productivity isn't reduced?" :D

Went to bed early last night :D and woke refreshed this morning :D
Sheets are about to go on the line :D
HM stock being reduced on the stove :D

And I'm bored with the same old food some I'm going over to OS board to give me some ideas for menu planning this week.
Lodger brought home a pineapple (which I'm not supposed to eat ) so I need to find something exciting to do with that.

And I'm going to get into the garden today as the rain has Finally Stopped :D. Should make creating a new bed more easy in damp earth????

    8. shop/cook etc in progress - shopping done, yesterdays meals done, todays meal underway :D Some things even prepared for next week :D:D
    9. change sheets on bed Done :D
    10. tidy bedroom
    11. start clearing the sitting room as DD has finally gone and DS2 won't be sleeping/eating/slobbing in there he hasn't cleared all his stuff just yet......
    12. pick auditon pieces done
    13. start rehearsal timetable
    14. write descriptions of the characters put a heading on a sheet of paper and thought about it :o
    15. waste time Skyping Popeye masses of wasted time as we go round and round discussing, shall I go out there or not (I now have a job offer:eek:)
    16. catch up on filing  obviosly a job I hate as I still haven't touched it - on the excuse that it is a rainy day job......
    17. take DS2 back to uni on Sunday 4pm this afternoon.....

Masses achieved in the garden, but OTOH the weeds/grass etc is also racing away.
My broad beans have Finally emerged. :j
Lodger and I are off to the nursery to get more potting compost, and some seed potatoes. Will hope to get away with very little more. :o

And the big news is, that I've been offered a job in Africa. Just a few hours a day.........
    Not sure how I feel.

Popeye has asked me to work out how much would need to be sent to the UK to cover the bills each month.
    We need to know:
    1) what Popeye will be doing after October (if he's coming back, then there's no point in uprooting me)
    2) whether the lodger will house sit for us (she wants a gardener if she does :rotfl:)
    3) The BIG one, how will I cope being so far from aged P's _pale_ - though Popeye says if the figures work out I could come back every 6 weeks for a week......

So the part-time request is back on the back burner, I don't need to rock the boat just yet.
And Popeye and I will continue to have these circular discussions :o
