It's nice to be back
Had a pleasant weekend with the out-laws, returning with our Christmas presents and a goodly amount of cuttings from their garden.

This evening I've been through our money, it will be a close run thing to pay off the interest free credit card before the offer expires, but if we're very very good we may manage it
On the plus side the piano is sold, I've a few more things to e-bay and I have been picking up mystery shops recently.
On the downside, there isn't anything spare for car-servicing (I should do that soon) or emergencies or expensive treats

Well Popeye caught the plane last night but only 37 days until I fly out for a weekend :happyhear
Of course the budget is blown to buggry :embarasse He will keep on eating :rotfl:and giving the kids rescue money

Now back to work

Ah, at last FK is not in the office and I can come on here
Work has not improved over the last couple of weeks, and added to that, the family are pressurising me to go out and join Popeye - do they hate me that much?

I tell them I'd be bored (he works v e r y l o n g hours, and I wouldn't be allowed to get a work permit so would be home alone)
I don't tell them that we're in debt still.......

But it would be tempting to leave this office, not because I don't like my job, but because of the people I work with

It is sunny and I wish I was in the garden sorting out the veg patch.

In the meantime Popeye has:

• sorted the shed
• built 2 more raised beds which are now being warmed by some secondary glazing panels we had.
• mown the lawn :jI hate that job
• fixed a sticking door (washing machine flooded while he was away and the door to the utility room swelled)
• heaved loads of potting compost to down near the veg patch
• Admired all the stuff I'd done while he was away. :D

He did NOT do:

• the bookshelves in the hall
• putting up the picture in the lodgers room
• boarding the bit of loft that I struggle over
• replacing the threshhold in the bedroom

but he is forgiven.

And I now have to think of my next list of things to achieve by the next visit......
