Glad Popeye is back Olive, hope the list of jobs not too daunting for him and i am sure you will make good use of the weekend away from the forums.:D As in digging, painting, shed fixing, veg planting............

Just popped home to have lunch with Popeye which was nice but he ate TWO meals that I had planned for him :rotfl: (chicken curry AND pie'n'mash) and I had yesterdays leftover risotto. I can see my grocery budget flying out of the window :rotfl:

Well anyway he admired my new figures (see signature, and get your mind on loftier things ). We said how well we were doing and I said just think if we didn't have debt we'd have had £20K to spend, no he said £30K.

He's right, and I work in accounts and have been thinking £20K is OK for 2 years.......and suddenly it's £30K :j :j :j :beer: DOH!

Well I printed off a list of jobs for him and he's already done a couple :j :j

1. he sorted out the seepage under the sink. Just a wrongly fitting grommet
2. He's sorted out the shed:j :j :j (It did take him all afternoon and he did say I shouldn't have tried to do it without him-but FOUR MONTHS of waiting that'd have been :eek: )

Today he is collecting DS2 from uni and has already been to the butchers. Now bearing in mind that we're away at the outlaws so it's only DS2 & the lodger until Sunday evening, there is now enough meat for Desperate Dan in the fridge :rotfl: There is bacon, a pork roasting joint, a ham joint (good thing we like pig meat :rotfl: ) and mince for a shepherds pie.

And from his list he is hoping to do:
a bit of woodwork in our bedroom,
put a picture up in the lodgers room,
mend a sticking window, and
buy the ready meals for tonight - we're having chinese as a treat.
