All this talks of pipes and where they go has completely baffled me  BOB you sound good at diy why didn't you sort hubby out :D:D ??

I-T having to stay in again tonight as blood still draining and rash driving him mad - when I went to see him last night he looked like he had a case of sunburn and he was radiating heat better than my rads at home . But he was cheerful and chatty so that was good.

I'm still in my dressing gown although have managed to clean, tidy and organise the study whilst chatting to friend D on the phone.

Now, who can I chat to whilst I clean elsewhere.................................

    :j Mission accomplished:
    1. Piano sold, she LOVED it, and it will be gone within the next two weeks :j :j
    2. Re-connected my pipes, and they don't appear to be leaking :j :j
So I'm allowed out with my coupons and I'm going to buy a new sewing box because I hate the one I inherited which is now broken anyway (I shall offer it on Freecycle but it IS ugly :rotfl: ) and one of those stand thingies that go under the sink to organise the cupboard. And anything else I can think of. Popeye is currently buying an anniversary present, so I suppose I have to buy him one too ;)

    Spoke too soon.

Water still dripping - but slower :o
There's something stopping the flow though, so I've added Drain Cleaner to my shopping list :o

Drain cleaner would be a good idea. Soda crystals are cheaper though:rolleyes:
Just having a think about it and it could be that the pipe joints have just warped or something. Could be worth buying some new ones, costs very little at DIY outlets. Just take your existing ones down, they will scratch and hum and arr, but you should get the ones you need..either that or just check you have tightened them enough..I sometimes wrap a tea towel around and tighten even further and then again it can wear the threads down doing it:rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks Hypno. We are of course chuffed to bits (as QE II might say) with our new signature :D and on target to be clear by September (june was knocked on the head :o )
Last month we had flights on the credit card, which have now been paid.
Popeye got a shares bonus :D
And having a lodger has made a difference. :D She pays me cash, so I'm not taking any cash out of the bank account, and I try and make her money cover housekeeping and entertainment & social life.

And the accounting of the debt has changed slightly. Because we cannot overpay the loan we have started saving, and when our savings equal the outstanding loan amounts we will consider ourselves debt free :D

Plumbing will limp along until it welcomes Popeye home ;) The dishwasher bit works (pheuw :o ), the sink seeps, but a bowl underneath and washing up in the futility room means that we can manage ;)

Only 3 more big sleeps until Popeye gets home :j :j
And I'd hoped at this point that the house would be sparkling but it isn't :rotfl: Ruddy plumbing
The washing machine flooded the little courtyard outside the kitchen and futlity room. This was probably contributing to the sink in the kitchen not draining......I remembered that we had rods for unblocking drains. But these were at the back of the spider-infested incredibly crammed shed :o
So I had to half-empty the shed :o to get the poles out, unscrew the drainhole cover ( & yeuch) which was under 3 inches of slimy smelly water and try and stick rods down it.
It has however worked :j but the sink in the kitchen is still seeping
It would be nice to report that the shed is now organised and tidy :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: but I just crammed it all back in :o and told Popeye he has another job. :o (serves him right for leaving this all to me)

DS2 was VERY uncomfortable on the sofa, so as we're going to need a spare bed while we have a lodger, we're going to blow the piano money on a sofa bed. Good thing the piano is sold, otherwise we wouldn't have the money or space and DS2 wouldn't visit his mummy :o

So tonight I have to do a months housework in one evening, plus cook all the cook-ahead stuff I was going to do.
Tomorrow I'm out with a friend and Wednesday is reserved for polishing and buffing ME ;)

    Sofa beds
We're borrowing an air-bed as there isn't time (6-8 weeks delivery) and I don't want to choose a sofa bed by delivery date.
Didn't want to use an air bed because in the morning you have more to move than just bedding, and I do want the siting room available. But Hey Ho ;)

Tomato seedlings are beginning to sprout :j :j

Did some coooking last night. :o
