You look good for 76 hypno - makes you running the Marathon even more noble:D .
Apologies to those who have mentioned my absence.
I'm in one of those darkish places atm(outside forces) and will come back when I can.

Wondered where you had been. Hope you are back soon. Take care of yourself and just have some of those little emotional banking deposits we were talking about the other week. You are allowed to withdraw every now and then:A x

Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

    :D:D:D:D fab time thanks :D:D:D

Now I have six weeks until he comes over here and I've made a list of things to have done by the time he gets here:
    • lose weight :rotfl: ( a perennial - but this time I mean it) about 1 stone should be possible, but starting tomorrow.... 4lbs lost  and yet I've been cheating :rotfl:
    • write down the play I've almost organised in my head.... sticks fingers in ears la la la
    • paint DS2's room so the furniture can come back out of the sitting room. (Sitting room was clear for about 10 days last time :o ) DONE DONE DONE :j and about to attack DS1's room so we gain another bedroom. :D
    • finish the paintwork in the bathroom actually planning to do that tonight.........
    • Sell the piano (another perennial....) now that the sitting room is clear, there is space to take the photos...........

Two weeks down the line, and time for an update :o
Not looking as bad as I thought it would. Lists are a wondrous measuring device aren't they ;)

Money is a mess (see signature, Debt increased over the last month  ) so I'm not planning on spending anything more this month.
    • Have listed books found in DS2's room on Amazon
    • claimed & got :j back £20 in charges because Popeye's money arrived late
    • cancelled 2 DD's no longer needed
    • entered about 100 competitions :o
    • keep clicking on Scratchcards - have withdrawn £10 :D
    • will list stuff on ebay

Started at new place today - what a sh*t hole the office was . Spent 3.75 hrs sorting out old filing dating back to 2003 so had a good clear out!

Bit disappointed though, as the job is not what I was trained for last week. My manager has just said she wants me to do the housekeeping and stationery orders weekly, filing when needed and keeping the notice boards up to date - none of the Ward Round notes or Case Notes to type as the woman last week does - apparently the Doctors do these themselves.

Also, these flexible hours to be worked as I want are not so - boss doesn't want me in Tues or Thurs mornings due to patient/family meetings in the office where I am based. She would prefer me to do 3 full days and have 2 off. I was told that I could work these hours as I wanted, so planned to do 3.75hrs a day during school holidays (term time doesn't matter so long as I am home for twins from school), if I have to work longer hours over 3 days then I will have a problem with getting the twins looked after in the hols.

    Fed up now...............................

  not a good start to your second week.

Is it worth going back to the one who told you your terms??
If you are calmly assertive now, they will think twice about grinding you down later.......I've OFTEN wished I'd spoken up at the start of something, rather than waiting until it wasn't OK.....July for eg

Good luck with sorting this out, and ((()))hugs too

Thanks Olive for the hugs xx much needed at mo!

Anyway I have left a message for my line manager - the woman at work is an onsite manager to me - so I hope that LM calls me this evening so that I can discuss this with her. You're right you know, when I came home I was worried about 'upsetting the apple cart' but over the last few hours I have thought 'what the heck this is my life we're talking about and this is not what I was led to believe, so I am going to stand up for myself'.

I really want this to work out and really cannot be doing with having to worry about who will care for the twins when I am work. Having said that I have rung their Dad and he will have them for the 2nd week of the Easter hols, so I will try and get the first week off.
