Not sure why I didn't post here yesterday - I was rootling around the site :o

Hope your week is progressing better MoT?
    And yours too Ampersand.

Shaun has been vommiting on Hypnos thread so I hope he's better too.....

Two books sold on Amazon :j £20

But although the envelope arrived for me to get shot of an old mobile (£3 :p ) it coincided with a friends mobile dying........doesn't seem right that I ask her for £3 but I thought I might suggest that her newer kaputt mobile could be recycled via me :o

But these are very small steps and I need MORE :o
So I must pull my finger out as regards the piano.......
  • Well done on the amazon books. All of it is going in the right direction. x

Ampersand's message box is full too...
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Bob She's got a lot going on I think. We can only send her cyber hugs :grouphug:

Today I spent my lunchtime on the green fingered forum. There's LOADS of info and helpful bods on there. So I've been plotting the veg patch for this year.

Can't risk planting out loads of the out of date seeds I bought for pence, as germination is going to be a bit hit amd miss. So I should try and germinate on wet kitchen towel - it'd be good to use some of the Christmas kitchen towel that I got reduced in January :rotfl:

Instead of buying a raised bed kit on special offer through the Telegraph (FiL buys that one) I'm going to build one from the old pallets at work  :rotfl: Well they said it was easy........

Lodger has bought salad veg seeds for this raised bed because she's inspired too :j (I barely eat salad, she LOVES the stuff :o )

Toilet rolls are being collected by all and sundry round me (I'm miserly and it takes me a long time to use an entire roll, I'll need assistance:o ) for seeds whose roots hate being disturbed - eg parsnips, peas, sweet peas etc etc

And I have my veg planting planner now too :D

    Growing my own veg :money:

    Hi all,

Went to Occ Health yesterday (counted as my working day, so effectively had the day the off :D) and was given the MMR jab - ouch, it stung!! Got to have the Hep B jab when I go back in April for the 2nd part of MMR - glutton for punishment me!

However, today I worked my normal 3.75 hours and had a lovely day :D AND the deputy Team Leader was over the moon when I said I would take the typing of Care Notes and Ward Rounds off him - yes, I've got more work to do:D but still have to sort the office out .

Had lunch with friend D which was lovely, although she has the pressures of family life on her shoulders at the mo and cried when we got back to mine - she's so sweet and I hate to see her upset.

Had long, long chat with Ampersand yesterday - she is taking a bit of time out at the moment as she has quite a lot to do and she needs to take her time - she is well but could do with lots of hugs from all of us.

Glad to hear that your getting your garden sorted Olive xx

    He does, doesn't he!

Hugs to Ampersand ... lots of positive vibes heading your way .....

Olive - the greenfingered board is great, isn't it ... I'm two thirds of the way through making a raised bed, and I have some time today to do some physical work, so I'll be outdoors doing that for part of the time. Thats a really good idea with the sprouting seeds beforehand - to make sure you don't waste any spots, is that right? I'd better get going!

Yes K, these seeds are elderly ;)

I think I have the opposite of green fingers (brown doesn't seem an acceptable alternative :o ) I realised this morning that the Sage plant in Lidl that I bought (it was bought because of a recipe, but IS a garden plant) is completely dead. :o

So that wasted £1.75 because I only used it for one meal :rotfl:
