Well DS2's room is finished, and he'll be home tomorrow to put the furniture back (I hope:o ) Not a problem with the fumes because until last night it was emulsion, and last night it didn't take long to do the picture rail and then I was out of there.
DS1 has proposed to his gf, and she's accepted, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. He's too young, and will be away so much in the next few years - again I hope(he's in the forces) She isn't good enough for him
and we're terrified that she'll persuade him to give up his good careeer because she's young too and will be missing him. (not like an old bag like me who copes with OH away.....)
There now, I've confessed out aloudI should be celebrating, and instead I'm worrying
Though I have a sneaky suspicion that he's looked at the financial returns for being married (better housing etc) I may have to contact Lenny and ask
Tonight I shall update my signature, it is not looking pretty with those flights on the cc. But I do have those 3 trips to look forward to. :lovethoug
Well DD1 got married at 18, just finished her A levels then moved into married quarters. Went to Uni after a year, so not all bad and to be honest it has made her grow up quite a bit and she had the added advantage of being ahead of the game, with work and budgeting.
They are both focussed young people and have now been married for nearly 4 years, she finishes Uni this year and he is away quite a bit earning himself promotions.
I had my worries..well i had a lot of worries, but apart from a few things it seems to be working well. Hope that helps a bit.:o xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I married young too (the first time
) managed 13 years and can honestly say that the serious mistakes leading to the failure of my marriage were all his.
So I do believe that age isn't necessarily the problem......
But we can't wrap them up and keep them at home, they do have to go out into that world without us.And she has been very good at keeping him out of debt - he's a bit of a spender. So I'm trying to look on the bright side.:o
Thanks for your positive thoughts.0 -
