    Morning All :hello:
It is gorgeously sunny today :j and I went to see DD at the weekend :j which is why I wasn't here, and wasn't particularly MS :o DD had the threat of Bailiffs :naughty: , so we have had serious talks and the threat has receded for now (Bank of Mum  )

When I got home DS1 had popped in, and we chatted briefly. I gave him our engagement present :D Admired his new car, and didn't tell him that DD had shown me his facebook page where he complains of being broke......:o I think Popeye and I must have been very bad examples to them, .....except that DS2 is tighter than a DA. :p

As it was sunny and light when I got home, I got out into the garden :D and started work on the raised bed :D with pallets free from work - they're quite difficult to disassemble this is going to take some time :o Lodger came out to help and still we have only managed to take a couple of planks off :rotfl: I shall get out there tonight while it is light in the evening - we'll go forward an hour in a couple of weeks and I'll lose this time again.
When we got indoors I did some more gardening. Preparing toilet rolls, with used teabag at the bottom and filled with soil for all those seedlings that hate their roots being disturbed. Germinating parsnips on kitchen paper, planted some chilli peppers, trimming back the sage in case there is any chance that it could come back from the dead........

And I haven't ignored my MS habits totally:
This morning I have already been to the gym to use membership, and use their hot water and toiletries :D
Checked our mortgage with the new calculator that Martin has made, but to redeem our fixed rate mortgage early would incur a penalty of £4,500   (we'll wait until September :o )
And I'm close to getting another couple of withdrawals from the Bingo sites.:j
And I'm back on my diary - I've missed you lot.:o

  • Thank goodness you were able to help your daughter out OO. I feel a bit like that about our children too.
Well done on the gardening, i seem to be getting nowhere with mine at the moment.

Hi Olive, it sounds good - I like the idea of a teabag at the bottom of the toilet roll, thats funny!

Love the gym membership thing too :)

I shall monitor whether the ones with fruit tea bags fare better than those with bog standard tea bags.......:D

And as for the gym - I'm not sure whether the aches I'm suffering from are gym or gardening related :o

Last year I planted a few things, went back two weeks later and   the weeds had come back big time. So this year I'm going to try and keep on top of them :o
Lodger pointed out last night that the veg patch used to be so organised when Popeye was home :o:o:o
It isn't *just* that I'm lazy, it is also that I have do so many other things, it used to be 2 of us running this home, and now not only is it half-staffed, this remaining member of the staff keeps swanning off to Africa to see OH, and to Kent to see aged P's. :o

DD has sent a very nice txt to me for the weekend :D

Just point out that this is why you got a lodger ..to take place of Popeye in garden...she did after all come to South Africa with you..drop massive hints:rotfl:
