  • What were your resolutions, Maz? I haven't really made any properly - am very non-commital - scared if I write anything down it makes it real :p

I haven't done any running, or swimming  really need to get my !!!! into gear. There is no excuse! Might try tomorrow lunchtime if OH is working at home, he can put Elliot down for his nap/sort his lunch... I like going in the daytime, I feel speedy next to the OAPs :rotfl:

Aww thanks Luc :) how are you feeling now, better after your break I hope? Has the itching stopped?

Elliot's cough is finally subsiding - just in time to go back to nursery! Three people in my office have it too - two are off sick, one is being brave as she is going on mat. leave soon and has too much to do! One of the absent ones coughed so hard she passed out last week  so I am sitting at a distance from the sick bit of the office...

Very guilty with coming back to work this week as Elliot has seemed so happy these last couple of weeks, and I have loved every minute and seeing so much more of him. I have to remind myself that yes it is lovely but if we were at home all the time it would quickly get boring and he will enjoy getting back to different activities that you just don't find time for at home as you have housework to do, meals to prepare, etc, just life really.

I am kind of sort of thinking about considering resigning though as OH will be working in LDN soon and we are all dreading it - trying to weigh up if life would be easier on anyone if I did and if we could afford it. Would it just make me unhappy and isolated, I don't know... I need a life coach :D

I'm cheering on Red Squirrel in Edinburgh marathon in may... along with Hypno, Cnoelj and Pania (i think it is those guys? correct me if i'm wrong squizzer!)

I dunno if i will manage a Glasgow race, my plans are...

Balmoral Road Race 5 or 10k - April (I'll probably do the 5k version, rather than 10k, runchum rachel is doing 10k)
Aberdeen city Baker Hughes 10k - may
    Leeds 10k - june
    Moray 10k - Aug/sept

plus a wee RFL as well, but will probably be Aberdeen i guess...

i might come join you for a glasgow RFL 5k as well... never say never! trouble is, i'd slow you down!

I think that's right Maz! At the moment I'm wandering what on earth I've done signing up for a marathon.. just over 20 weeks to go and I can't see how I'm going to get fit enough

I think the Glasgow one is usually in July so you'll be fighting fit after Leeds and it'll be a good interim for Moray:D

Plus we could have a (mini) Glasgow meet after to recuperate...

okay then! you twisted my arm!!!

    it's a date!!

oh and that jinky one can certainly do 5k with us!!

Haha thank you! My mate did it in a 7ft owl suit last year and still beat me by quite a distance so my aim this year is to beat him and not live with the shame!
    Keep the Faith!

my resolutions are in my siggy... if you have them showing, basically to run twice a week, swim twice a week... not spend money on clothes as have plenty, save 50ps in sealed pot, and finish my studies... sounds simple!

i am such a slow swimmer, all the oldies beat me every time, so i just focus on the bottom of the pool, and that's with my new super speedy swimming abilities! i was truly truly pants before... if i could swim well, i would be there more often!

i know what you mean about coming back to work, i was off right thru and erin was seldom away from me, TBH, by the end i was needing time to myself, and sad as it seems, i get that when i'm at work moreso!

re the resigning thing, if you think you could manage i think you would be happier, certainly a lot of your problems stem from wanting to be in two places at once..... when does Elliot get his funded place, ages away i guess?
