And now I've eaten the fruit I packed for mid afternoon snacks and am eyeing up a bar of chocolate... I seem to have been possessed by a munchies monster:eek:

Have you got statements, cant you take them down the bank?

Only online and I can't print them off because I don't have a printer and I have no car to get to the bank, argh this is typical!

Hi all, today I'm wishing I'd stayed at home as I've got the nasty cough again, came into work but not really got much to do so bit of a waste of time  And I feel like I've had PMT for about a week, wish it would just get on with it!

Gemmzie, that's ridiculous, I would definitely fight it. Can you go to the bank and speak to someone in person, get them to look at your account and see you have paid in the amounts?

They won't deal with student accounts in the branch despite the fact that I opened it there

Seems like they are putting a lot of barriers in the way of providing a service. Have you tried phoning CAB or the bank watchdog or something? I'd phone them back, ask to speak to someone more senior and see if progress can't be made that way and advise them you'll be lodging a complaint with the watchdog. You could also suggest the papers might be interested in your story...

In that case I would play them at there own game and empty the account and let them chase you then take it to court and prove otherwise. But then again I am !!!!ed of with the government and banks this week so maybe thats not a good idea :rotfl:

The overdraft is at £1.5k until the end of today and then it's £0 and I have just over £1k owing. It'll trash my credit rating.

Plus on top of all this the bloody student loan company want £330 back because I left part way through the semester which would be fine if they didn't owe me £350 for books!

They seem to make it as difficult as possible. Can only get an automated message from the county's CAB, is there a national number? I'm trying to speak to a supervisor at the moment.
Hmm I might contact our local MP actually, she's met my mum a few times and she said she's very nice.

CAB direct lines are usually ex directory and the main number will get you through to an answer machine. This is because the emphasis is on face to face advice as their resources as so stretched. The CAB will tell you to go down the banks complaints procedure anyway so that will be your first port of call. Call them up and speak to someone in authority rather than one of the call centre staff. Don't let them fob you off.

I expect to have around £500 left at the end of the month

    Do I
    a) - pay a chunk of it (I'm thinking £300) off against overdraft
    b) - pay a chunk of it off Egg card and balance when the next pay cheque arrives
    c) - pay out nothing until the end of the month

    :confused::confused::confused:

    morning,
Aunt Flo is back visiting me-cycle is now 23 days long...that's never right. Off to the Dr's for me-it's causing me sooooo much grief.

Im at work too Maz (surprised?)

We're taking the kids ice skating after work-looking very forward to it! (and went to the gym last night!)

double bubble exercise! woo woo! get you!

exercise definitely has an impact on PMT, must be the endorphins take the edge of mood and pain...!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)
