  • We use Protx at work to process card payments so all of you who are emailing them, please be aware that they only process the card payments. As far as I am aware, they will contact the retailer on your behalf and advise them that you are having difficulty contacting them and ask them (Bebe) to respond within a week. They do say that disputes have to be settled between the retailer and the customer. Hopefully, if enough people contact Protx then they may be able to put a little pressure on Bebe and maybe even remove their facility to process payments.

Yeah thats what i thought, i read they only process payment. But hopefully they will stop dealing with Bebe amor and leave them without a payment system to rip people off for a bit! worth a try!

    Thanks

Well I've decided to do some investigating of my own...I received an email from BA stating that my goods will be delivered on Friday after they received their delivery from the supplier this week....I've contacted the Manufacturer/Supplier and I'm waiting for them to provide me with a little information on whether they've actually received any orders from BA and more importantly whether it's for the dates as advised...As you can imagine they are not happy after I pointed out how this company operates and they're bringing the reputation of their company down. Even the Manufacturer can't get through to BA by phone!!!...watch this space for the next instalment.

    yey for you d0207!

I wonder how they have got away with this for so long? is it a new company cos the website doesnt say so.. Or have they just turned scammers overnight?
  • Thanks for the info about protx, i had assumed they would get me a full refund. However as i paid with my visa debit card i understand there is a thing called 'visa debit card chargeback scheme' which you can get a refund with within 121 days of the original delivery date in the event that you do not receive the goods. If anyone has any info on this i would appreciate it as it looks like the only way I will get my money back- like many others on this forum, this is the last thing i need 1 week before being due to give birth!!
  • Our baby is due in March and we needed a quick turnaround on nursery furniture as other places were offering lead times of 6-12 weeks. I can only echo the sentiments of bdirect_dad. Our story is pretty much the same. I also think that I can vouch for Mel84 as I think that I met them at Bebe-Amor on 16/02/09 as a couple had driven from Stafford to get a refund.

The couple from Stafford had also contacted another company on the same trading estate and were told by the proprietor that they were the 15th set of people that day to ring him and ask if Bebe-Amor existed!!!!!

All I can add is that my furniture should have been with us week commencing 16/02/09 or w/c 23/02/09. I have contacted Baby Style who supply the Calgary furniture and they told me that they weren’t expecting delivery of the furniture until mid March so my delivery was out not going to happen. I asked when the items would be despatched to Bebe-Amor and Baby Style said that depended on a number of things (read between the lines on that one, not paying the bills springs to mind). When I got to Bebe-Amor the phone was ringing in the office but every employee was ignoring the phone and sat about chatting and laughing

I had heated conjecture with the MD, Steve and another Director over the whole situation and eventually I got a refund. I had concerns about Bebe-Amor voiding the refund so I have contacted Protx twice to verify that the refund was still proceeding and as of 17/02/09 it was and the money had gone to my bank for clearing so there was no way Bebe-Amor could to try and claim the money back or void the refund.

Don’t listen to the lame excuses that Steve and his team give you.

On a more positive note I have managed to find a company that has got the furniture in stock and it is available for collection. I have paid a deposit and will collect it this week. Kiddicare in Peterborough will price match anyone if you e-mail them evidence and their customer service is exemplary. Mel84 if you want the name of the company that has got the Calgary furniture in stock then please e-mail me and I will pass on their details as they are about 45-60mins drive from Stafford.

ANY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE HEED THESE THREADS AND DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU ONLY END UP BEING STRESSED AND ANGRY. WORST CASE IS THAT YOU COULD END UP OUT OF POCKET IF THIS LOT CEASE TRADING. IF THEY DO THEN YOU WILL BECOME A CREDITOR AND BE BOTTOM OF LIST WHEN IT COMES TO PAYOUTS.

UPDATE 18/02/09: DRIVING TO HUDDERSFIELD TO GET A REFUND WAS WORTH IT. BEBE-AMOR PROCESSED A REFUND ON MONDAY 16/02/09 AND THE FUNDS WERE CLEARED IN MY ACCOUNT BY WEDNESDAY 18/0/09. IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR ORDERS THEN PLEASE GO TO HUDDERSFIELD IN PERSON AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK. TO BE FAIR TO BEBE-AMOR THEY HAVE COME GOOD ON THE REFUND SIDE OF THINGS.

my friend used kiddicare and said they were fine, i think the main complaints with them is aftersales, if u dont like it or want a refund etc. But they usually deliver the goods.

I think most sites have some negative feedback but nobody reports the good do they, fingers crossed our new orders arrive!
  • After they have failed to meet the last deadline I gave them (last Friday) I cancelled the order via Email as I could not get through on the phone ... what a surprise. I have then ordered my items with another company and parts of it arrived today already.
Surprisingly enough I have received an email from Lisa y'day, saying that the order has not been cancelled with anyone in the office (how could I???) they have actually despatched it and it should be with me y'day or today. She gave me the option to refuse it and they will refund it as soon as it goes back to their warehouse. As I have now already received parts of my new order with the other company the other delivery from BA actually ARRIVED!!!!! and I refused it..... Was this now a mistake???? I only hope that the refund system works ... but after all your latest comments I am not that optimistic anymore ... but I can not change anymore. Interlink told me that it should be back in BA warehouse tomorrow ... so from tomorrow the time counts for the refund ... lets hope the best. To give a timeframe for the delivery ... the order has been placed on 6th Jan, delivery took place today, 17th Feb.

    Beach bum sorry about that!

I actually spoke to Adam and cancelled mine - here is hoping he has cancelled it as ive ordered a new pram now!

Sending it back is all you can do unless you want 2 of them right? I would wait a week and if no refund claim from your credit card!

Did u sign anything to say you refused it? just incase they say it never came back....
