  • Chocolate.orange - hope everything goes ok for your grandad

jamtart - So sorry to hear about your grandad, I can only agree with what others have said, try and stay strong for him, and make the most of each moment you have with him.

Rainmac - I hope things go ok for your mum - has she to have more surgery ?

Afternoon all, have we all had a good day? hope everyone is ok xxx

Padingtondoo I have removed it now ;)

Mel ... I like the idea of a pink house ;) and I hate pink ... might have to have some red in there as I think my little boy will probably play with it more than my little girly!

Rainmac it was lovely ... I sat in tescos cafe looking for her for half an hour ... phoned up OH to see if she had sent a PM saying she wasn't coming after I had already left, then by half past 10 I was about to wander round tescos and I looked behind a corner whilst on the phone to OH still and there she was ... we had a natter over a few cups of coffee/tea, had some lunch then went to home bargains/b&m bargains and matalan :D ... well it wouldn't have been true MSE if we ignored home bargains ;) Bunbun is very lovely :D ... if you lived closer then you could have come ;)

Also want to say a big massive thankyou to the lady who has sent me an emergency chocky supply ... she knows who she is and you are lovely xxxxxxx

So jealous of you rusty and bunbun at meeting up - what about me??? I could sort of act as the middle-aged one between the two of you as I'm 34 ;) Do tell us how you got on, where you met, what you did etc etc...

I have just been to www.change4life.com I have seen their posters around town and thought they were very condescending. "How many times does your child end up in the snack tin for dinner" and things like that. I received a leaflet today about it and by answering a few questions you will receive an action plan and a packet of 'SNAP' cards with health tips on. I thought it would be worth a read.

I signed up with that a few weeks ago - and recieved a 5 a day healthy eating wall chart with stickers - so if you dont recieve one of them and want one - let me know n its yours 'cause I wont use it
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

rusty/bunbun - so glad you found each other and had a lovely day! Did you find any bargains during your trip out? I'd love to come next time but it would take me hours to get up to you and I have an appauling sense of direction (just ask anyone who knows me) so if out on my own would probably end up in Brighton

She may have to have a mastectomy, jury's out on that one at the moment until she sees the surgeon again. She's started taking tablets that she has to take for the next 5 years and is having bad side effects poor thing. She's so at the end of her tether with it all now, needs some time out but she won't take any offers of help - she's a stuborn cow and I so take after her ;)

sylphraven - I totally agree about this thread, it's better than reading any magazine therefore very mse.:D

Thanks for all your kind comments - I botched it up a bit and I'd used stamps so I couldn't cover it up very well - but I enjoyed it

Bargain of the day - went into hmv cos I had some vouchers and barbie swan lake (bairn watches these films in silence-who knew! she's such a tomboy)well anyways it was 18 pounds, then I went into asda for butter and in there it was 3- just cos it was in a carry case, they had the normal boxed one for a fiver but who cares it's the exact same film who cares about the box...

plm - can't take credit for the rolo - it was paddingtondoo's idea. Thanks for your last post by the way - you made me feel special-wub.

Just watched last episode of lost for second time, love sawyer
  • Blimey I had 2 useful ideas today :rotfl:.
I suppose the rolo was really OH's but I'll take the credit :D. I don't even like them!

2nd one was decorating DD's wellies for sponsored welly walk - cut out a dozen flowers from my stash of paper and stuck them on with foam pads - DD thinks they're "cool" high praise indeed - will try and post a pic in the morning as photobucket hates me again :o

If we do move up I'll be able to join you for coffee - sounds brilliant especially with home bargains and b&m thrown in could have only been better by adding poundland :cP

DD wants to go shopping with some of her birthday money - asked her where she wanted to go - instant reply the pound shop - sometimes I love my DD sooooo much - bless!
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
