Errr, sorry I confess to not making my OH a Valentines Card or gift (although I did buy him one and I am making a shepherds pie while he watches the rugby on Saturday) - well after 16 years, we tend not to make a fuss on VDay and my husband would get very suspicious if we started now! :rotfl:
My husband did used to do the "huge bouquet of flowers delivered to the office on V Day", but the prices are ridiculous and we agreed that it would be far more romantic to buy me a bunch of tulips every now and then (cos I love them, the are very unruly, much like myself), just because he loves me - although now I think about it they have not been forthcoming for many years now.... not sure I am getting the best deal here.

Afternoon all, I have had a fab day so far .... We popped upto the metro centre about 10 ish to get a blanket and a few other bits for the nappy cake I need to make, as we left it was very lightly snowing ... when we came out of the metro centre 2 hours later is was even heavier and had settled .... 12:48 I recieve a txt from the school saying they are closing and could I pick up my child at 12:45 ... 3 mins ago! :rotfl: so had to get my BIL to pick up my son as he was in and we were 30 mins away .... it actually took almost an hour to get to where I work which is where my son was seeing his nana ..... then I decided it was a clever idea to walk to 10 mins home letting OH drive my car so I could put the kids in their new sledge .... just got back now and I am freezing but soooo happy seeing their little facesRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

Well done you! Welcome back Orchid, you have been doing well!!
Well I have had some sad news about my Gdad, he is poorly with cancer we found out for definite todayworse news is it has spread
so god knows whats going to happen. Very close to him so feel very sad
I cried making a ham butty :rotfl:so I decided I have to keep smiling and laughing otherwise I will cry at daft things like sliced pig! He is very cheerful, don't think it has really hit him. Its the not knowing if they can help him or not that is the worst. Think I'm all out of tears for tonight though
Anyway...back to happy thoughts... PLM your work is amazing! Love the pics on the blog! cannot wait to start scrapping pics of my house! Before and afters are looking awesome!
Hope everyone else has a happy Monday night (sorry if I depressed anyone! :A)
Jamtart I'm so sorry. My Granddad died of cancer 5 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. I still cry at stupid things and it doesn't make you any more than human. My mum still cries everytime she hears Stay Another Day even if she's driving! They couldn't do anything for my Granddad but fingers crossed that wont be the case! All my thoughts are with you!Never give up the dream! :beer:0 -

The first ever pics of me on the internet (now you know why there are no pics on Facebook or UKS pretty scarey huh??? thank goodness everyone's looking at the dolphin!!)
The both photos are amazing, looks like your haveing the time of your life, was that the swim where u hold on to the fins, when I did mine in mexico, it was the swim where the solphins pushed u up with their noses so ur gliding on water, great at the time, till the dolphins stop and u belly flop into the water..........in my case it was a big splash!!:rotfl:xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi Everyone, I hope you're all OK and doing well with the challenge so far this year!
I've not done too badly - had 3 birthdays so far and have balanced out the cost with 3 mystery shops! I've created a spreadsheet to help me which shows my spending, my income and my balance. It's also a good record of what I've bought people (maybe I should add a 'recycling gift column so I know who's bought me what and not have to worry about giving it back to them!).
Got a couple of months before the next birthday, but then it's birthdays pretty much fortnightly until July! Might have to dig up some stuff to sell as the mystery shops aren't as frequent at the mo!

fantastic furry or should that be finny pig today :rotfl:.
We swam with dolphins in Cuba and it's one of the most wonderful things I've ever done - did find it had a bit of a glazeover effect with people - but maybe that's because I went on a bit.
[STRIKE]I[/STRIKE] DD won the prize for the best wellies at the welly walk at school today but she gave it to the little girl in her class who has cerebral palsy as it was the Wii game that she's asked her dad to get her for her birthday - he'd better get it now or he'll be in so much trouble- how sweet was that???
We have snow - lots of it again - I made OH drive me to Tesco said he wasn't getting any tea otherwise and then made him get out at the postbox as it was on his side. I'm not popular :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
