Here's my valentines thingy for OH - I know it's supposed to be tomorrow but he will be back tomorrow night and don't want him to see it :D.

I'm going to put a ferrero rocher in it. Doesn't show the colours very well but the words are dark red and embossed with bubbles.

Big thanks to rainmac I think who reminded me I had these in my stash :D

Ahh I loves it!! :D:T:T:TWell done you!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

Thanks again for all your kind posts - sorry to make this the 'Jammy and her depressing news' thread :)

Ahh, we got told they couldn't do anything for him this afternoon, which is basically horrible. I'm frustrated that we can't do anything to help him, all the while putting on a brave face. What an awful disease :( so sorry for all of you who have known someone who has suffered with it :(

I'm really in 2 minds about the valentines camp out, its completely inappropriate, but should the show go on as best as it can, I'm trying to think what to do for the best, because its the first year in our new house etc etc, gdad wouldn't want us to not do something because he is ill (we cant do anything apart from visit him until 8pm) but it just feels so wrong *sigh*

choccy - i am addicted to papers too, i just like to look at them.

rusty - the post about your DD and the wellies cheered me up loads ! mum2one's little girl often cracks me up with the tales mum2one tells us about her! bless them!

scattymam - your PLM class is amazing, love the work you have done :)

thanks again for all your posts!xxx they mean alot xxx

All I can do is send some more virtual hugs, sorry but I don't know what else to say apart from we are all here for you when you want to shout and scream or just need chearing up.

As for the post about my little girl .... I sat sneakily taking a video of her earlier on ... just lately she is mad on little einsteins and has taken to doing to actions.... when she hears the song she jumps up and gets started ... but if she catches you watching her like she saw daddy doing earlier on then she drops to the floor ..... ;) had me in bits today ... I could write a whole book about her funny little things she does .... My son can be just as funny ;)

    Can't see your pics paddingtondoo?

  • (((Jammy))) Do as much or as little as you feel able to on Saturday, I'm sure your OH will understand. In a few years time, when you look back, just watching a movie, cuddled up in a blanket will bring back loving memories, you can have another special evening to celebrate your love at anytime of year, even better then as it'll be a lovely surprise for your OH.

Jammy i luffs you - sorry im rubbish with stuff like that but if you ever fancy a random natter with a weirdo :j

JordanShannon - i was going to pm you earlier - Please dont do swaps on here seriously I used to use the Lush board and the amount of lush swaps that went totally wrong on there was mad at one point - I have a large lush stash :o with stuff from Xmas 06 in still packaged up that I dont like particularly but havent got round to setting myself up on ebay and well I have a younger sister and several younger cousins who seem to enjoy getting random lumps out of the box of lush just because :rotfl:(Also including a 5 year old godson who secretly likes pink bombs in his bath)
Keep them - chances are someone you know will appreciate the gesture after a crappy day or a just because gesture than risk getting ripped off by someone you dont know!
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Jammy, I'm here as well if you need anything, I'm so sorry about the news of your grandad, frustration is one of the things that cant be helped, if you need to shred a tear or 2, then do it, you need to remember the best times, the things you did together, something special and cherish that moment, youve said it yourself gdad wouldnt want you to not to do something, this is your first valentines day in yours and MrJamtarts house, you can do the both, spend some time with gdad, then have your valentines ngt, come sunday youve got something new to share with gdad, (not all the details), I think he would really appriciate the news updates about your house.

I lost my nan 6 weeks b4 my 18th bday, to an extent we had already lost part of her, she had similar to alzimarers (excuse spelling), she's remember me and mum + dad, but wouldnt know the rest of her family, I was 8 when she went into a care home, I've got wonderful memories of her, my all time favourite, I was about 6 and she was baby sitting me, and was staying over, (back in the 70s when Jollies in Stoke on Trent was the place to be seen), and I was woke up by a noise, it was nan, she was halfway through the window, thinking that was the way to the loo, apparently at the same time mum and dad came down the path, slightly worse for wear!! Its silly things like that, I remember and I see her smile.

Thats what you need to focus the good times, whatever happens he still your grandad and he would want the best for you. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
