I have ended up buying a kit for a baby book for my sis on ebay..says it comes with loads of bits and bobs and cost around £9 all in, fingers crossed it will be ok, am a bit worried now that it will be something that you have to add the pics to as you go along as I want to make her the book and let her put the pics in iyswim, oh well I will soon find out..

Used some of my ebay funds from selling my old stuff so nice and neutral as classed as a pressie....

Hope you are all having a good evening, I am enjoying reading all your plans for valentines, am not planning on even a card for dh, we just don't do anything (well apart from have a bit of a special meal) but we aren't really romantic (I remember dh saying that we swapped valentines for an anniversary when we got married - typical :rotfl: )

OH asked me yesterday if I wanted a pressie for valentines day - shall I ask him if I can spend the day crafting????

A days crafting sounds like a divine present to me. I'm single atm so I'll give myself this wonderful present. Although I'm working Saturday night!

Jamtart So sorry to hear your news. I recently lost my aunt to cancer, she was 86. When she was diagnosed she was given three months to live, but she lasted for fifteen, and crammed so much into her bonus year. She discovered crafting whilst in the hospice, and made little football shirts out of plastic canvas and wool which she then sold at PSV Eindhoven matches, she even sold some to the players! She also made cards which were sold in the restaurant at the hospice.
I only wish she'd discovered her talents earlier, as she had been wheelchair bound for nearly twenty years and could've acheived so much in that time.

I don't post very much on this thread but read it every day and feel that I know you all through it.

I didnt want to open any of the parcels because even they were nicely wrapped,with a ribbon on there too.

Ive been a naughty orange and ordered MORE stuff off them

But i have decided that i am going to make my mum and dad an anniversary gift ( october ) With the 'Once Upon a Time' things i have bought and give that to them. Just waiting for a few other bits to arrive on my second order then i am good to go

I'm in a bit of a dilemma, i've got some lush swaps and a lady is wanting to £4 inc p&p (does she know how much first class stamps cost?? -£2.08 if anyone wants to know ) and some other lady wants the same products as her as well as some more and is offering swaps for it. I really don't know what to do because whatever i do it will be wrong:undecided
and i can't find my OP's in that section and i'm not trawling through it all again:mad:
Please someone, help!!

I'm going to put a ferrero rocher in it. Doesn't show the colours very well but the words are dark red and embossed with bubbles.

Ahh, we got told they couldn't do anything for him this afternoon, which is basically horrible. I'm frustrated that we can't do anything to help him, all the while putting on a brave face. What an awful disease so sorry for all of you who have known someone who has suffered with it

I'm really in 2 minds about the valentines camp out, its completely inappropriate, but should the show go on as best as it can, I'm trying to think what to do for the best, because its the first year in our new house etc etc, gdad wouldn't want us to not do something because he is ill (we cant do anything apart from visit him until 8pm) but it just feels so wrong *sigh*

choccy - i am addicted to papers too, i just like to look at them.

rusty - the post about your DD and the wellies cheered me up loads ! mum2one's little girl often cracks me up with the tales mum2one tells us about her! bless them!

JordanShannon - I wouldn't do any swaps on here unless you 'know' the people a bit better..even then it can backfire. I have done several favours, sent money out and never received my goods. I'd put them on eBay and tell the Lush women to do one!
