I've finally decided what to do with the ipod that came from Qype, I've put it up for a bday present, my friends 40 in August, so was going to get something bit special, so thats saved me money.
Looking 4ward to getting the Virgin voucher, its going one of 2 ways, wine for presents, or towards a ballon flight for dad.......... at the mo they have a morning flight for £99, (so could get my mum to give me £25 towards it) that would be his bday prezzie. Have to see when it comes.
Feb plans
1.Get the box from the loft, so I can finally allocate the presents for the year
2. Check birthday cards until end of yr, (got bag full, just need slotting in the file)
3. Mothers day present for mum - thou got her a dressing gown on order (reduced £30 to £9) so lets hope it fits
4. Wrap the birthday presents for March and April (away for 2 weeks)
5. Try not to be tempted by Halfcost - look but not buy!!!
Thats for me now.xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Jammy When I first met Lee he would buy me white roses all the time (because they are a symbol of eternity) and I used to MOAN that flowers were a waste of money and go mad. I haven't had any flowers for about a year now LOL I want flowers!!
I have learnt a lot of things about the difference between men and women and the way to majoritarily be happy together:
+ Men do not have initiative, they need to be told. If there is a bowl of washing up to do they won't just get on with it and you will start to seethe inside that it is always left to you. The true fact is they need to be told and given jobs, this also makes them feel a part of your life and useful. This is scientifically proven - if a man isn't told, they innocently do not know!!
+ People give in more easily these days. Make the decision in your own head that this is the man you want to be with forever and always and whenever you feel close to the edge just keep telling yourself you will work out anything because breaking up is not an option.
+ Remember the happiest day of your lives together and keep it for when you have an argument so that you have something to cling on to and bring you back down. Remember the last time you had an argument and how absolutely annoyed you was but then how a day later it meant nothing.. remind yourself everytime you argue of this and that 'this too will pass'.
Every couple argues to different degrees and I don't belittle your relationship or your love for telling us. In fact, everyone here is greatful for it so that we feel like our lives are more normal!
Most of my arguments stem from the fact that I don't talk because I am a silent and shy type (who'd have guessed??) and I hate to talk about my feelings. I am strong so I like to put my own feelings aside and just get on with the day but this mounts up over the weeks. I made myself a promise at the start of the year that there would be no more secrets. Life is for living and when he says 'whats wrong?' I need to take a deep breath and say ' I hate it when we go out and I catch you looking at someone elses jugs'.
So far it has worked amazing. Just to STOP myself saying 'nothing' or bottling it and just blurt it out quick before I chicken out. He has realy suprised me in his reactions and it has made me feel so much happier. I like getting that best friend element back.
And that's my rant disguised as advice for any idiot who wants to take it LOL:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
scattymam I love the way you say you're money neutral then sneak in a seperate post to say you are on a new netbook :rotfl: Go girl!! What cartoons are they? I conceived my second child immediately but my first born took nearly two years. I really hope your timescale all works out!! Your friends can get stuffed because 31 is no way old, they should get with the times!! Love your valentines ideas!!
Jammy (Starting to get sick of posting to you) When we first moved in here all we had was a sofa, a kettle and a bed LOL Just yesterday we was looking back with the biggest smiles on our faces at the happy memories of eating the umpteenth pot noodle shivering!! We used to buy cheese rolls from asda and make smash then put a hole in the middle of the smash to pour gravy into LOL We would have sleeping bags on the bed and treat it just like camping it was so much fun (until you had to get up in the morning!!) Enjoy these days whilst you can.. I swear to god they are the best days of your lives. They're like childhood, once theyre gone you can't ever get them back again!
mum2one You don't half make me laugh :rotfl: I am going to crown you the halfcost queen because since the day you come here you have been crazy about that place LOL I love the present idea and I think an Ipod is just enough!! Do you have any songs you can put on there that have special memories?
aurora I wish I had the patience and the brain power to be as efficient as you! My house needs rennovating I don't know about my jungle garden!! You will have to keep us updated with piccies of your 'yield' :T
Sylphy I went to town yesterday and I was thinking of you wondering if you was up there! There were no grab bags left so I was gutted.. wasted journey!! It started to snow so I was FREEZZZINNN' and there was a lot of morons up town. Didn't pop into Gamestation in the end as it was too far away for Lee (we was taking it slow so that he could try walking). Underworld wasn't on till 6 last night so I couldn't see itWill go when all the kids are at school or something.. I can't be doing with a packed cinema!!
Twilight is awesome. Not at all what I expected. It is a very artsy sort of B movie type of film but a DAMN GOOD B Movie. You have to have an open mind and be a kid at heart to enjoy it. Flying vampires and over the top romance is always cheesey!! If you haven't seen it yet, the whole film is centred on a beautiful romance and it is all about them and their desire to be together.. oh and the complication of vampires:rotfl::xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Oh and on a last note.. my son is very ill and keeps projectile vomiting.. including all over my car last night on the way home.:(:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0

PLM sorry to hear your little one is not well hope he gets better soon.
scattymam 31 is no way too old - I was 32 when I had my first and I didn't consider that to be old!
my two are off school today. we haven't had that much snow but there is a lorry stuck on the bank outside school making access difficult so for health and safety they have to close the school. they want to go outside so I suppose I had better get ready while the sun is shinning!saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
