this is exactly what my husband thinks - but infact I just want the peace to go on here - ha ha, we are masters of manipulation of men.
Have you mastered the art of making him think certain things are his idea but all you've done is steer him towards something that was your idea in the first place but if he thinks it's his idea it makes things easier - does that make sense!!! I sound evil - I love my hubbie to bits really. He massaged my feet and cut my toe nails for me last night, ahh.0 -
hmm think I'm in the right place to learn a thing or 2 about men! I often use the old Xbox trick
Of course you can have some CFR I will give it to you in exchange for gerba's!
Have got a lovely view out of my window of snow topped roofs (roofs doesn't sound right??) ! It feels like......CHRISTMAS!!!
Think the snow is clearing today here - hopefully everyone else is OK too!

Paddington Oh!!!! PMSL!! I can't believe you are running these experiments on your husband LOL it is BRILLIANT. I let silly things build up too but what he doesnt understand is that something silly like walking past the wash basket could equal a massive load for me to get done when I need to do other things and then me missing out on any time for me. MEN!!
Jammy You missed my most important nugget of information.. the most amazing thing.. making a hole in the mash for gravy...
Aurora Your plan sounds amazing and I hope that with all the forums you have to read every day you don't think this thread is a waste of time.. I seem to chat innane rubbish rather than help people being thrifty.. oops. Living life sounds brilliant to mex

bikerchick I was living the luxury life.. a bed AND a sleeping bag. In hindsight I was a very prililedged tramp and I hope I didn't offend you with my tale of pity and woe:D
It was actually really good fun filling the house with stuff I liked, and not having to consult anyone else xMarried 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Morning!
Bet plm will be asleep at her keyboard later - was looking forward to man tip of the day - should we now call you philosopher lady mel?
I know what you mean about them creating loads of work by walking past things - OH cooked tea on Sunday - and I spent an hour clearing up in the kitchen - why can't he rinse things under the tap as he goes along - and he poured the spud water in the washing up bowl so i had to wash that before I could start .
rant over - I love him really - got my own back when I asked him to make me a coffee and his lap top switched off when he sighed loudly at my cheek and put it down :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Is this now the moan about our OHs thread? can I join in?
Went shopping this morning & said he could have a lie in, then do any jobs he wanted to do without LO there (he wanted to connect PC to TV in lounge). Got back absolutely cream crackered coz of pushing a heavily laden pushchair through snow to find him on the unmoved PC , saying "oooo, better get a move on now hadnt I". Attaching PC to TV somehow meant moving the whole lounge round (without tidying it first, though I did suggest it, maybe I should have told him instead). I end up doing my normal jobs while watching the LO who can't play in the lounge as normal, & then helping tidy the lounge as its 10 times worse than when he started. 5 hours later he's finally finished, the lounge that it is, he's still got the hall & our room to tidy up his trail of destruction. I wouldnt mind if I wasnt put out so much by it all. Now he's moaning that I'm doing Pizza instead of steak for dinner as I'm tired, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, moan over
I wasnt up town on Sunday PLM, I prefer it first thing after I've dropped the kids off at school, lovely & quiet, means I can have a good look round for bargains. Were you starring at people strangely thinking "oooo, that could be her" lol.You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
At least you have OH's to moan at ,mine is in a land down under!
I have made 3 invitations for my 40th and I think they are quite beautiful! Simple yet with a hint of elegance.........just like me really. only another 11 to go!
I have written all the addresses on the envelopes though to make me feel very organised!
I have a separate notebook for my lists of things to do and things to buy and feel sooooo satisfied when I can go TICK!0 -
By the way, does anyone ever wonder what you did with your time before you came on MSE?
I check it in the morning and then when I come home from work in the afternoon!
It's a bit contagious isn't it once you get the MSE bug0
