    Hello everybody

I am not Pinkladymel. She has been taken captive and this crazy woman (me) has taken over her. I must be stopped.

Yesterday I had a packet of fish fingers in my hand that my son wanted for dinner and pasta for my daughter. I PUT THEM BACK... And took the kids OUT for the EXACT same meals! For a normal pub meal it cost me 32 pounds! I did not care because I then took them to the whacky warehouse and bought Lee a coffee as well.

The madness does not end there.

After this I took the kids to McDonalds for an ice cream sundae which were 99p EACH even though we were right next to TESCO. I had one too.

Whilst we had our dinner I commited an awful crime. I gave the kids their star presents that were searched high and low for, for Emilys birthday - A Jess doll for Emily and a Woody for Logan. It is not her birthday until 15th Feb and now I will have to buy her something else spectacular.

This madness ended with a totally out-of-my-way trip to WHSmith where I bought not one.. but TWO magazines!! TWO! and some Foxes glacier fruits. Then I popped to Primark by accident and some things jumped in my basket for Emily.

If I didn't buy them it would be stealing as they wouldn't go back on the shelves..

I don't know who I am anymore. I think I should be banished from Moneysavers. I am a walking sin, a disgrace.

    Someone stop this madness.

I am sooooo pleased you did that PLM, it's not just me then. This month I've religiously turned off lights, saved water, downshifted to a lot of own brand labels, stocked up for the seige (recession), even took back a shirt to the charity shop - like a good little MSE'er I've done everything I can the 'right' way :A

Then I bought a £300 laptop when I have a perfectly good pc, just because it was a good deal

They're coming to take me away ha ha, those nice young men in their clean white coats...
  • Ha ha ha Sparrer that sounds like summit i would do lol

We are only human after all! x x
  • i thought it was just me that falls off the MSE bandwagon every January - I feels loads better now :p.

Just remember that we are all human and deserve treats now and again :D

We have car insurance house insurance and my car tax next month and I also need a full set of tyres so i mustn't spend anything extra this month but at least they will be out the way until next year :o

What is this I hear? Falling off the bandwagon?????

Who are you and what have you done to Pink Lady Mel?? :rotfl:

Good on you girl! We all need to do daft things sometimes. We popped to town the other day to change something I went in one shop and came out with boots and a bag, only cost me £22 but i felt awful!!

I am having a stressful week with work and family health issues :( and to top it all off my OH and I don't seem to be able to communicate without using our 'outdoor voices' and seem to be extremely unhappy with each other as we can't agree on anything to do with our little house  Let me tell you its not fun! I think the problem is that because we only see each other a 2-3 nights a week, all the stuff for the house needs to be sorted out on those nights, and we don't seem to be having any time to enjoy ourselves (i know the house is fun, but its also quite stressful!) I couldn't even tell you the last time we went out just the 2 of us! :( I think I will have to remedy that and demand to be taken out tonight :D boo men!

Sarahf - super organised on the whole present front well done you!! I have got all my stuff in my new loft in boxes, labelled and ready to come down at xmas! :)

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • Sorry you're having a tough time jamtart. OH and I had more rows when we were sorting our wedding out than ever and don't even mention houses or decorating .

Men and stress just don't go together very well :p
