I know this is unlikely but do you have anything you need to keep?

If you have photos and documents backed up to say DVD's or an external drive, and you have the restore disks, it may be a lot easier, faster and safer to do a factory restore from disk and then download all the updates?

Just out of interest where are you in the UK (just the town will do) someone may be local and can help.

    Only joking.
FireFox is the Techies' sacred browser. The blessed alternative to Internet Explorer.

Currently installing above.. what is ment by use for all net installations? What is firefox?

Firefox is in place of internet explorer. Chances are where IE will fail, firefox may work.
So i mean use firefox in PLACE of internet explorer (For downloading programs etc)

We run a small business from home so I have sage accounts and sage payroll. The bookeeper comes once a month and backs these up though so they could be re installed. I would have to ask her as she uses them.

I always upload my photos to the web so they are safe.

Just loads of docs etc. Nothing that in time could not be replaced if thats my only option.

    Any thoughts?
