Im a little lost as to where you are POWER girl

Are you now running the malwarebytes scan?:idea:0 -
I have restarted as suggested and it took me back into the normal nothing working mode so I switch off at the mains and after 4 attempts it allowed me back into safemode.
I clicked on the malware icon on the safemode desktop and nothing happened.
so I have tried to install it again via your link and it is now on the finishing installation part of set up.
Cheers

If you cant get it working, it could well be the infection is stopping it working
if so ~
Try manually changing the name of the .exe file (anything at all, it seems some viruses know which exes to block!)eg powergirl.exe
If THAT doesnt work
Download firefox in safe mode
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
Use that for all net installations till we're sorted
Try with that in normal then safe mode should it fail
Try to get superantispyware working if you cant get malwarebytes working (Changing the .exe name too):idea:0 -
Right this time when ending the installation it asked if i wanted to scan and I ticked yes and then pressed finish as requested.
Nothing happened. The set up box disappeared (But is still showing on the menu bar)
When I click on the icon nothing. When I click start then the icon...nothing.
Edit... set up now disappeared from menu bar.. still nothing when u click on icons0 -
you need to run malwarebytes in normal mode , otherwise not all the infected files are loaded and will not be removed
boot into normal mode ,then do the following
Click on the START button,
so you get this screen
and click on my computer , which will take you to a screen like

click on the icon that says Local Disk ( c: )
and it should give you a list of all the folders on the C:
look down the list for Program Files and double click on it
look down the list for the folder Malwarebytes Anti Malware and double click on it
look for a file called MBAM , which looks like this
highlight it and Right Click with your mouse and choose rename , change the file name to cleanup
then double click on the file now named Cleanup and it should runEx forum ambassador
