Whats asking you to restart?malwarebytes? You need to install malwarebytes then run a quick scan and remove everything it finds.0

The set up window for the down load says....
To complete the installation of malwarebytes antimalware set up you must restart your computer Would you like to restart now?
I then have the option of now or later? and then press the finish button.
Which do it choose? Will it still work if I do not restart?
Cheers

I would advise AGAINST using system restore at this stage as they usually inject trojans into them.
It's 50:50, I've had malware that stops Malwarebytes installing (so it's a real PITA). System restore is one way to get back beyond where the nasty came in so at least you can scan for it.
Working backups are better but no one takes my advice anyway...0 -
I've gone with restart later and pressed finish.
The box disappeared. I am clickin on the malware icon on the desktop and nothing happens.
What is wrong with these people. Damaging peoples property and for what?!?!
Nutters.
Any other suggestions welcome

Restart and see if you can open it you made need to rename the installer and the mbam file in C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware you could try system restore like gjchester said. If that still doesn't work try combo fix make sure to disable any antivirus programs or anti spyware programs actively running! http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix0

I'm no expert but I think you need to restart to complete the install but make sure you start in safe mode again.0
