cold weather payment post codes

I've just spoken to sis (well typed to her on msn lol) and it was my mistake, she didn't get a payment, she said she thought she would because it was -3 by the thermometer on her car I though she said she already had got one. A case of crossed wires and the fact when ever I talk to her on the phone there are at least 3 kids trying to talk to her at the same time

Sorry for the mix up.0 -

Apparently the Woodford station has three times been triggered by sub zero temps. so maybe we are due a third payment?
Thanks,Ive Been quite ill today but im gonna check first thing!Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

Can i just ask if all the people asking about why there area has been triggered and why theyve not received payment, have ACTUALLY received a letter saying they are entitled to this and will receive payments?? ...
i dont mean to be rude, but it seems that alot of people on this thread and others seem to just to be asking the same sort of things about area being triggered several times yet never having a payment.and most of them arnt actually entitled, they seem to just be presuming they are.
Ive said this twice already but im going to say it again to say anyone else from asking - If you have NOT received a letter stating that you are entitled to cold weather payments of £25 per week where necassary, they you WONT have any payments not matter how many times your area has been triggered.
It clearly states on the government site and on the letters received by people that you DONT have to apply yourself for cold weather payments and those who are entitled will automatically be paid them where due.
Hope this doesnt offend anyone,as its not my intention at all, theres just a lot of people asking the same things over and over again!Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

i get income support and a child under 5 so should i get one?
my area has been triggered twice, but not recieved nothing yet.
and it was in my local peper tonightLive each day as if its your last0 -
So do you need a letter then to get cold weather payment?0
-
right you DO need a letter to have been received yes.You DONT get a letter with every payment, but with what ever your first payment is you will get a letter and from there on just random payments where due with no letter...most people got there orginal letter in december last year so if you havnt received on its unlikly your entitled
to luck better alone- you should in thoery be entitled but for some reason not all areas and post codes are entitled,so it will also depend on where you live.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

I have received CWP in the past and I continue to be eligible for them I have never received a letter at the start of winter to say I am entitled. I either get sent a giro in the post or it is paid into my bank account and a letter sent confirming a payment has been made.0 -

Yeh i understand that, but they changed everything this year,if you have a look at the site it says what ive said, that anyone entitled under the new payments and rules etc will receive a letter with their first payment etc...Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
