Why would you assume that i am better off a lot of other single parents? I dont get any support from my ex, so actually i am not. I have difficulties with childcare for my 4 year old whilst i work but the fact is i DO work. Isnt every one entitled to child tax credit and cb? I choose not to have money handed on a plate to me, unlike some that are quite capable of working ...but simply cant be bothered. My point was with all these benefits you can get without doing anything... why should i be bothered, and im sure others feel the same way.
I wouldnt be jealous of a one off £25 "hand out" if I were you, it really doesnt go far.
And when I find the right job that suits me and my child, I will work. Its not about being bothered, its about finding childcare during school holidays etc, which Im sure youll agree, is hard. Then I can rub it in everyones faces, that I WORK and dont SCROUNGE of the state BLAH BLAH blah! :rotfl:0 -

I am offended by your comments about people not working because they can't be bothered. Like you I am a single Mum and I don't get any help form my ex. Yes I do get Child tax and CB but let me just say that I struggle every single week to provide heating and food also. The £25 doesn't go very far and at the minute I am putting alot of money on my meters to keep the house warm. I was a student nurse and had done two years of my training I chose to leave to have my dd as at the time everything was ok with my dd's dad. We have now split up so nowI am stuck on Income support and looking for work. Every single week I apply for countless jobs and hardly get any interviews and when I do I still haven't had an offer of a job. I would love to work 16 hours a week, even just for the interaction with other adults. So please don't judge us all, that is a load of rubbish.
