  • Hopefully the lump will be a simple abcess where she's been living as a 'street-cat'. Glad to hear she's loving being home, I'm sure it won't be long before her skin condition clears up once she begins to get a proper diet. (((Hugs))) to both of you. xxx

i got 2 kittens for my boys in october and they love them to bits so much so that they have been inside all the time (no probs as i had inside cats before) and we would all be heart broken if anything happened to them so i think it's wonderful that your little puss has found her way home to her family again :j
 while i knit i think

  • Just to let you all know Maddy was taken to the vets and very sadly has mammory cancer, decided not to opt for the surgery the cancers too agressive and theres no gurantee it want come back.

She has a good quality of life for know and when that isn't the case anymore we will do what we have to do. It's like she came back to us for us to care for her in her final months. Don't know what else to say, tears have started again. Bye for now

What matters most is how well you walk through the fire
  • I'm sorry to hear the bad news, however, don't give up,cause maddy won't and cats are tough,Maddy especially by the sounds of her!
She could have a good length of time ahead of her,we don't know.I 've had cats with cancers that have lived to be ancient,21 to be precise,as long as she seems happy, and she certainly sounds it,I wouldn't worry too much, just enjoy her!!!

so sorry to hear about your Maddy :(

if you need some support throughout this there is a fantastic yahoo group dedicated to feline lymphoma. some great tips on diets etc as well just general support from people who know exactly how you feel and what you are going through.

i had a cat who had cancer (large cell lymphoma), she was able to have chemo, and she outlived her best predicted survival time by double...so keep your hopes up, you never really know just how much fight our little ones have left in them.

yahoo support group is here: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/feline_lymphoma/

general lymphoma website is here: http://felinelymphomacaregivers.org/

    *hugs*

    (((((((((((((((((Sharron, Maddy and family)))))))))))))))))))))

If it is any help to know this, I lost a cat to mammory cancer and she was pain free and happy right up until the very last day.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
