so true...my little Stormie was in great form for the 18 months she lived with cancer, she had no idea she had it or her life was going to be cut short, it was just me who knew. she did get loads of extra love as a result...i did revolve my life around her knowing that we were on borrowed time and spoilt her rotten.
even when she deteriorated rapidly, in her last 4 or 5 days, i think she was more confused about why she was weak and not eating. i truly believe that she did not know she was dying.
her last morning with us, before the vet came round to help her on her way, though was a different story, she looked sad and bit scared. and her brother just cuddled her all morning...literally, i had never seen them cuddle like they did that morning. i took a picture of them together and it is heartbreaking but beautiful. i am sure i was projecting my feelings that day...but something in their little faces was very real and understanding. i won't post it here but am happy to share it if anyone wants to see it.
I know exactly what you mean, but I have to disagree with you not posting the picture
. Pictures are meant to be a reminder of our memories and by posting it you would just touch more people. I wish more people became more sensitive towards animals in general. Moments like these are truly sad but at the same time they are tributes of how close people can be with animals and the rewards are priceless. If you still don't wish to post the photo, then a pm would be appreciated.
sharronloves2spend, please keep us posted from time to time as it would be nice to know, plus I am sure it will make you feel better. Take care and as my signature says "Carpe diem" --> Seize the dayGoing to war over religion is basically killing one another to see who's got the better imaginary friend...

Just to let you all know, Maddy's doing okay. She's content and still purring loudly and enjoying all the treats she's been getting. The lumps are getting bigger, no denying it but she has a really good quality of life atm. It's funny how she was an outdoor cat who would hate to be locked in at any time, now she just stays upstairs, sleeps, sits on the windowsill, eats and uses the litter box. She is perfectly happy to stay where she is. Thank you peeps for all of your kind words, and please do post your pics, i love the fact that people love their pets so much. I will post some pics of Maddy and my other animals later (if the board police don't close the thread that is!!).
Bye for now Folks

Hi Sharron
As you have requested here are the photos of my cats:
The oldest is 14 months old. My friend found her when she was 3 weeks old on the back garden of his shop inside a bag with sand. She was suffering from hypothermia and was not responding at all other than a faint meaow. She couldn't even move or lift her head. I warmed her up on my chest for 4-5 hours and that was it. She is now a member of the family. Her nickname is Ratatouile, as she eats everything I eat: meat fish, brocolli , brussell sprouts , bread, bran flakes with milk , jacket potatoes , and her favourite treats are sweetcorn and chocolate mousse . And she loves drinking water from the dripping kitchen tap :rotfl:, not the stale water in her water bowl. lol. She loves the rain and went crazy with the snow the last few weeks.
The other two litle devils are Layla and Belini from left to right. The same friend found them in the front of his house at midnight when it was really windy back in November. They were not more than 5 weeks old and I offered to keep them for a few weeks until they were grown a bit, but.... surprise surprise i could not let them go when the time came to take them to my local cat Charity. I did not want to split them really and Marie got attached to them as their foster mum.
So come on people, lets see more photos of your kitties.
Sharron, give Maddy a hug from me and keep spoiling her. I just hope the tumour is not too aggressive. Wish you all the strength and courage you need to cope.
Talk to you soon.Going to war over religion is basically killing one another to see who's got the better imaginary friend...

Thanks for the update Sharron, I'm glad to hear that Maddy is content.
If you can, take comfort from the fact that she found her home when she knew she needed help. Goodness knows what struggles she went through to reach you the family she loves.
Gatos & Lowis, thanks so much for sharing your photos, what beautiful cats :TMy first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
