The age of 7 isn't old for a cat, I had one who lived to be 26 and a few others who were about 15 to 20 before they died.0 -
Hi Sharron
I was just wondering how are things with Maddy. I was browsing through my old threads and found your thread and thought it would be nice to hear some news.Going to war over religion is basically killing one another to see who's got the better imaginary friend...

ah, gatos sorry for the late reply, she's actually really well atm. She's gone dead fat and her coat is silky and shiny and she's very happy. She doesn't go out at all, but that's fine. I'm starting to wander if she really does have cancer... but it is lovely to see her so happy, you never know she may live longer than we thought!!

I'm so glad to hear she is happy, thanks for letting us know.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

I tried posting a reply last night but the site experianced problems as I sent it. I have only really read the first page of this thread and I'm pleased a couple of cats have turned up safe. My Lily went missing 2 weeks tonight and I have done all the usual things, leafletted doors, phoned vets/animal rescue etc etc. I'm pleased I have a lovely lady who works at one of them doing all she can in advising me and sending out pleas in her emails. Lily is now on the national missing pet register and a local missing cat site. I just pray she comes back to us soon.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

Hugs to you. Our tom cat went on a wander not long after we got him. Happy to say we found him after calling out on our nightly forays to look for him. Cats are just doing what comes naturally to them when they go on the wander and don't realise that Mum and Dad and Family back home are worried.
Hope you find Lily. Please keep us updated.

Ah hunny i know exactly how you feel ( i am the op). We did all of that but nothing ever turned up, we'd just resigned ourselves to her having an accident and couldn't get home, Is she microchipped??? This is the only reason we got maddy back. The only thing i can say is that she may have 'rehomed herself' Our other cat Lucy, adopted us. About 6 months after she moved in with us we found her original owners (who were happy for us to keep her) and they loved her, she just disappeared from them. I know it won't make you feel better, but cats own YOU, not the other way round.
Lots of Love SharronSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0 -
Thanks Sharron and Jasmine. Unfortunately Lily isn't microchipped
In the 7 years we have had her she never failed to come in for her meals and a cuddle. We did get a puppy 2 weeks before she went awol so I'm hoping she is just teaching us a lesson, although she was getting used to him. £2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -
Ahh, she may have been upset about the puppy, when we took in Lucy, maddy went missing for about 4 days. This was about 4 weeks after Lucy being with us. I think it had dawned on her Lucy was staying so she took off in a huff. Cat's are creatures of habit and they don't like change. Chin up and stay positive, hopefully when the fields mice become broing she'll be home for her comforts!! Please keep us posted. Sending you lots of positives vibes xxxx
