    Hi Poppet,

Just reading this post to give myself some hope.....my lovely little Hollie went missing Thursday last week and has not turned up as yet. I am gutted but everyone else is telling me "oh its only a cat" so I can't show them how upset I am....

I hope your Lily turns up.....

    Hi Sharon

Just realised you updated this post. I am really glad she is doing well. The reason I bumped the thread in June was because my cat went missing for two days and I remembered your post. Marie (that is Her Majesty the cat) decided to dissapear for two days and I was so worried. She is back now obviously but that feeling of your cat missing is awful.

As for the Notsosharp and Poppet with their kitties missing, lets hope they turn up. I would rather have my cat MIA (Missing In Action) than finding him/her dead on the side of the road. MIA gives me hope that they are fine and well and may one day turn up.

One of my cats (when I was living in Greece) went missing for 6 months (she would never leave our house before that) and we assumed she was dead. One day she just turned up purring on the window. She wasin perfect health, if not a bit overweight and stayed with us for 3 months. She then dissapeared again and I haven't seen her since. I still hope she is alive and well in someone elses home.

And Sharon... keep this post alive with updates ...:o

    Hi Em,

I lost my cat a few years ago now, took him to the vets for emergency op and he got a panic on because we dont live near a busy rd but the vets are and he broke out of the carrier and he was missing for a week, we posted things all over with pics of him and he was found by a man who found him in his pigeon house! Never give up hope, they are creatures and are always up to something, he still goes missing for weeks at a time now because he likes to investigate! :A
Theres 2 types of horse owner, a person who owns a horse and a horsey person ;)
  • that's brilliant news :) It's great to hear that microchipping is worth it!
If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!
  • Check your local RSPCA for home microchipping service (Google search RSPCA and your local area and microchipping). My dog is being chipped in our home for £12 by the RSPCA. Or you can go along to one of their chipping events and pay £10.
  • Just read this whole thread. One of my favourite MSE threads. So glad you got her back - amazing! I hope Maddy is keeping well and happy x
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

  • Just to update you all, Maddy was put to sleep today, the cancer spread to her spine and we felt that we shouldn't let her suffer anymore. She had 11 very happy months back with us, she never went over the door and enjoyed a very priviledged life, sleeping, eating, and having lots of cuddles. We will miss our 'big puss' but she now is at peace. Not a dry eye in the house today.

    R.I.P Maddy
