  • My first ever post but very excited to try and get the grocery bills down. Am aiming for £350 for two adults and 3 children to include all food drink cleaning products and nappies (for 2). Have never achieved it before although have been getting closer. If Feb goes well (4 weeks from today) then will aim to reduce it by £10 a month.

Here goes and good look to everyone

Have got £8 in £2 so far
    £2 savers club £28 :j
  • Hi, This is my first post too. Going to aim for £250. This is for 2 adults, 9 month old and 5 year old. This will hopefully cover Food, Drink, Baby Milk, Nappies, pack lunches, toilettries and cleaning products. Haven't budgetted before so don't know if £250 if enough but here goes! Nikki

    Hi everyone :)

Just a reminder that I'll be unsticking this thread some time late today - by which time it'll be the featured challenge in our Monthly Challenges sticky.

You can find the challenges via the link in my signature any time you see it or...

..you can use the Monthly Challenges link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-

Well this would be my first grocery challenge and I am setting my monthly spend to £100 so thats £25 a week for just me. I dont cook a lot myself without using pre made sauces and short cuts like that so should be interesting how I do. Also bought a slow cooker yesterday so that should be useful from what I have heard.

I know where the receipes are but as there are so many can any one recommend which ones would be good to start with? I eat almost anything but like chicken most out of my meats.

    Thanks :)

The recipes are in two places:-

We have a Cooking section in the MEGA Index sticky at the top of Old Style here.

Then there are dedicated Recipe Collections (general and slow cooker) in our Indexed Collections which you can find these via my signature any time you see it or...

..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-
