    Day 24

Didn’t get round to listening to my CD last night as I was so tired I decided not to listen to it and today has been a really difficult day for me. Have eaten a few times today when I haven’t really felt hungry but I have been trying to eat slowly and to not over eat. I feel like I have eaten tonnes even though I still know that I have been eating less than before. I think my hormones are maybe playing havoc with my brain as I don’t seem to be listening so well to my body today. I had a roll and sausage for breakfast, a wispa and a cup of coffee at 11am, egg mayo and tomato sandwich with a packet of crisps at 1pm and then a chicken chargrill with chips and vegetables for tea at 6pm. I still feel really bloated though but it could be due to my time of the month being imminent. As a result I am not sure if I do want to weigh myself tomorrow as I think I will weigh more than I did last Saturday due to my bloatedness, which may dishearten me. Really am struggling today with everything so I definitely think a blast on the CD is needed tonight and perhaps a bit of motivational reading.

Bitsy - that cold sounds exactly like the one me and DS had last week, high temps, coughs, sneezing, headaches etc. I hope you get better soon.

Rosie - excellent news on your results from your blood tests and well done on the weight loss.

Nanaw - sorry no I haven't experienced not wanting to eat at all during a whole day. I have experienced not feeling hungry when it has been my traditional meal times however whilst keeping to the system I have found over the past 3 weeks that I have been able to manage my hunger so its in synch with my mealtimes. If I am not very hungry then I don't eat so much and that's fine. I agree with your GP not eating isn't healthy and as Bitsy says maybe you are not quite in tune with your body yet.

Guapa - don't feel you have to leave us, we all have off days and that's part of the reason we are here - to support each other. However if you want to have a wee break and then come back later we will be pleased to see you again.

I tried to tune with my body. But I just dont feel hungry. When I try to eat something I feel bloated later which according to McKenna is also not good.
I just wanted to stop eating sweets not any food ;(
Will see how I feel this week. If I will still struggle with the food I think I will stop using his method.
Mabye your right and it is because of stress. I am not able to work since the accident (march 2009) and I am sitting at home alone all day. My dream is to go back to work in January but my doctor told me that it is not possible.
Before I start using Paul`s method I was eating everythig what was in a house. Now I am not eating anything.

Are just certain things making you feel bloated? It does sound as though stress or maybe a bit of depression is supressing your appetite too much?
All I can suggest is perhaps try eating regular but SMALL meals and see how you get on.
Sorry I don't have any other suggestions :o

Guapa - sorry you're going to lurk but you have to do what's best for you.

Maisie - sorry you're having a hard day. Chin up and remember one bad day is not the end of it all xx

    Day 25

Well I listened to my CD last night and I definitely felt a lot more up beat today. I was conscious of what I was eating today and was definitely eating when I felt hungry. I still felt that I ate less wholesome foods today but junk was what I wanted to eat which could be partly down to my hormones. I kept my water consumption up today so I am pleased that this has really become part of my life. I also notice that this month I have fewer spots which I am sure is down to drinking a lot more water.

I did weigh myself this morning and I had lost another 1lb. Not a lot for 8 days but in saying that I have been feeling bloated and thought I had perhaps put weight on so maybe I have actually lost more by the time I weigh myself again in 14 days. I’m off to bed soon so that I can listen to my CD again.

Hope everyone else is doing okay. See you tomorrow.
  • Weigh in day for me again tomorrow.....75 days! Have managed to get back into it the last week or so so hopefully I might see some loss....

Evening all hope everyone is feeling okay.

    Day 26

Had an okay day today. Felt very positive when I got up this morning which I think was the result of another night listening to my CD. I really do notice the difference in my mood when I have listened to the CD the night before. Breakfast was fin, I made two slices of toast but only ate one and a half, the other went in the bin. I then had a fruit scone at 10am with my coffee. It’s strange but I’ve noticed that the only time I have something to eat with my mid morning coffee is when I am at work. Lunch was hummus, two wholemeal pitta bread and a bag of crisps. However this evening when I came home I wasn’t that hungry so I just had a sandwich for tea. Later I felt hungry and indulged in some Bombay mix but only had a few handfuls and put the rest of the mix went in the cupboard for another day. Again not a great diet in terms of fruit and vegetables but I figure that will come at some stage. I have drunk about 2 litres of water again today, infact I bought myself a slightly bigger bottle this morning to save me refilling it so many times lol. Not feeling quite so bloated today either which is good. Will listen to the CD again tonight.

Mintymoneysaver - hope the weigh in went okay today. Let us know how you got on. 75 days done is excellent.

    Day 27

A bit of a mixed day for me today. Breakfast was fine I felt hungry, I ate slowly and I enjoyed the bagel I was having and felt pleasantly full when I finished. I was then busy doing my housework this morning and didn’t want anything to eat, although I did stop for a coffee at 11am. I then went to have lunch with my mum and had carrot soup, a tomato and cheese toastie and a blueberry muffin. I have to admit I was hungry when I started and I ate fairly slowly but I am not convinced I stopped when I was full. I wasn’t conscious of knowing when I was full, so am not sure I was listening to my body. I then didn’t have anything else to eat until this evening when I had some home made chicken, broccoli and pasta bake with garlic bread, and it was delicious. I was not that hungry when I started but I thoroughly enjoyed it and did stop when I was full. So I was listening to different aspects of my body at different times of the day but was not consistent throughout the whole day. As a result of this I do feel as though I have overeaten today and am sitting here feeling totally stuffed. I have decided to have an early night and read a bit of my book again as well as listening to my CD. I have been fine drinking water again today and had some exercise whilst doing my housework.

Hope everyone else is doing well.
  • 2lbs lost at my weigh in so 15lbs altogether in 75 days! But today I've felt a bit disheartened. Needed something new to wear for my christmas do and don't feel like I've actually lost any weight! I know I have but I put a stone on over the last year soI'm actually still as heavy as last Christmas and I wanted to be thinner! I know Rome wasn't built in a day and I know really I have lost weight but just feeling a bit rubbish today! Think I may be heading towards the wrong time of the month too so just eaten rubbish today.....oh well, onwards and upwards......I MUST listen to my CD again tomorrow....

Congrats on your weight loss. I know it is frustrating when you have put weight on, then start to lose it again, and have to lose a lot before you are back where you were a wee while ago. That is the position I am in now. If I hadn't put on lots of weight over the past 6 months, when I didn't weigh myself, then I would be noticing it more on the scales now!
That's why I was gutted at the doc's a few weeks ago, when I weighed in at 97kg, when I thought i was lighter than that. Ah well, at least we are going in the right direction now!!!!

    Day 28

Another mixed day today. I don’t know what’s wrong but I just don’t seem to be getting it at the moment. I didn’t even manage to drink as much water as I have been recently and I really thought that I had managed to make that an almost subconscious part of my day to day life. I didn’t eat very much today. I had a brie and cranberry panini for breakfast (I wasn’t really hungry at breakfast time so had a panini in town about 10am. I had a small piece of rocky road biscuit/cake at 2pm and then had a chicken byriani for tea at night and a couple of glasses of wine in the evening. I ate when I was hungry, enjoyed everything I ate and ate fairly slowly but I didn’t leave anything on my plate. Managed a little bit of exercise again today walked round the shops doing some xmas shopping and then did a few hours ironing when I got home. Looking back maybe I didn’t get it all that wrong today just not drinking as much water or indeed any fluid as I should. I will see how I go tomorrow.

    Day 29
A good day food wise but not good on the drinking water front. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner with a couple of glasses of wine in the evening but didn’t overdo it. Not much exercise today and I didn’t manage to drink much water so and up and down day again. DS has just had chickenpox appear (probably why he had such a high temp and a cold a couple of weeks ago) so the next few days will be interesting.

Mintymoneysaver and Rosie -I am totally with you on losing the same weight since last year. I joined a slimming club and lost 1 stone and since then I have taken off an put on the same stone about 3 times this year!!! If I could just have kept losing I would have lost 4 stone by now:rotfl: Anyway as Rosie says we are losing it now and that's good.

    Hope everyone else is okay.
