Sorry to hear that but I'm sure it can be sorted. Never tried to get money back from a non-refundable room but surely if its a genuine mistake they'll be understanding. Good customer service and all that.

Put a post on the travel board see what they have to say about it?

Hi, yeah I did post and have also emailed travelodge to see what they can do. Someone suggested selling the room on ebay if there is nothing they can do about it which made me thing I could have also sent a mass email to the others on the course to see if anyone wanted the room. But I have already bloody cancelled it because the woman on the phone advised me to. !!!!. If they won't give me the money back I wonder if they will give me the rooms back lol. God what a mess! I was soo annoyed last night but today I guess there is nothing I can do, I will have to just hope for the best.

Otherwise I have got a boring day ahead of me, lots of marking and school related stuff to do and I really need to make a start on the rest of this assignment. I need to try and keep myself away from the internet or I will get nothing at all done!

Yep I'm gonna see what they say. I'll see if they get back to me via email tomorrow and if not I'm going to ring them up. I'll be on the warpath I tell ya I'm not paying 65 quid because of a !!!! up on their !!!!!! website!

Well we had a snow day today, started off that everyone was at school but by 2nd lesson everyone got sent home again. Not very mse on the petrol but it's a half day off so won't moan too much! I now have to make the choice between getting on with some work (should do really) or just dossing about!

I've taken the opportunity to ring Travelodge, they were unable to give me my money back but have put a credit on my account for the cost of the rooms. Better than nothing as I will end up using it, just a bit tight for this month. I do know my mate wants to go away with her fella for Valentines day so might see if she wants me to book the room that way it'll convert it into cash when she gives me the money.

Have made a PAD of £10 today which has come from the dosh I saved because swimming is cancelled tonight,(£3) plus we get a free coffee month because we have enough stuff (usually pay 3.00 a month) also I over estimated my tiscali bill by £4 so have chucked the surplus at something.

I have got £7 in my purse from the tenner I took out on saturday so am going to TRY and make this last me till the end of the week. I do need to get petrol soon though so will probably not manage to stick to this! :rotfl:

I think I will eat my sandwiches in a minute (cheese and marmite mmm) then do my daily clicks early so I do't have to do them later. Then I really ought to get on with some work. Bye for now

Haha well I did a bit of both in the end so it's all good! Yeah I bet our little flurry is nothing compared to what you get up there, us southern lightweights lol!
It makes a nice change though we don't normally have weather in the midlands - usually just varying shades of grey!
Have just done my daily clicks and introduced the hamster to snow :-) she loved it think it was like a lolly for her hehe. Off now to keep checking facebook to see if anyone has any news about tomorrow - its still snowy now but got a feeling it'll be business as usual tomorrow!

Have a look on the bbc website - there is a video of tigers in a zoo somewhere in Englandshire enjoying the snow, and it is the cutest thing I have seen in ages.

Awww they were so cute - I love tigers, all cats in fact. It's the first thing I am getting when I live somewhere I am allowed pets!

Another snow day today which is kinda good, kinda not because I have soooo much work to do that can't necessarily be done at home. I'm trying to get all my planning out of the way so I can do everything else the rest of the week, usually I get most of it done after the kids go home but I have meetings after school on weds/thurs and a date with a pint on Friday afternoon :beer:, so will have to try and squish everything into lunchtimes instead.

It does mean that today will most likely be another NSD making it 3/3 so far - I won't count my chickens though! I am not making a proper PAD because am waiting to see what my accounts look like once everything has gone in and out before going too mad, but have chucked my spare change of a whopping 23p :T into the Take That concert fund pot instead! Better change that on my sig... I should probably join the PAD thread but everyone on there makes really good pad's so I would feel a bit embarrased lol. I just thought - if you make a PAD technically you never have a NSD - one of the paradoxes of MSE lol! Hey look at that sentence it's like a secret code haha.

I have now got to spend hours on the phone trying to rearrange my tesco delivery. If they can't deliver today I'm just going to cancel it as I'm going over tesco way tomorrow anyway - I'll ask for my ten pound voucher to be given back though, not my fault it snowed! This may take some time though - I've been calling since 9am and it's been engaged every time :rolleyes:. While I'm on the phone to them I'm going to order a Clubcard Plus too, like the idea of putting my grocery budget onto a separate card, and earning double points is even better!

A good DFW who spends time on MSE knows that a PAD doesn't come off a NSD It's money to debt not to nothing, so it's ok!

Also, some people on PAD pay pennies, some pay lots. I'm anywhere between £1 and £100 (Payday!) Come and join us, we're lovely :j I sound like I'm recruiting for a cult now...
