    Hiya
    I'm going to do a bit less tomorrow as i'm tired and sore now. So;

    - do a washing load
    - dry a washing load
    - clear the dining room table
    - clear the stairs
    - do three questions of my chemistry homework
    - empty the dogs
    - walk the older dog if it's not icy.

    That's it for me.

Hugs to all and special positive vibes to Johanne's OH and MOAM xx
  • Thanks for tomorrow's list pigpen. I might manage to be a flylady for two days in a row!

A perfect list for me after spending the weekend de-cluttering and scrubbing the kitchen from top to bottom. All that was left on my kitchen list was the floor and the undersink cupboard. The rest has been blitzed until it sparkles already. I've even done tonight's dishes and cleaned the surfaces and hob already which is very unlike me - normally a few days worth of dishes build up before I get round to it all. There must be some of this flying lark rubbing off on me from reading this thread so much over the past week and I still can't keep up with everyone!

I was trying to identify what was STINKING in the house. On closer inspection I discovered that a pack of milk had exploded in the fridge.... So as I was unexpectedly cleaning the fridge ( ) One of the shelves shattered in my hands.  Fortunately I didn't get cut - bonus!!!! There was glass everywhere! :p

However at this point I should say that Mr Shattered had said that there was something spilt in the fridge, and I saw him cleaning it yesterday..... hmmmmm.... not very well obviously!!!!!

So.... one shattered shelf, but one very clean fridge later... the house still STINKS!!!!! When Mr Shattered came home I asked if he knew what the smell could be....

"Oh" says he.... "haven't you washed the towels yet?"
    "NO" says I....
    He replied....
"I used one of the towels to clean up the spilt milk in the fridge"

So he'd left a milk soaked towel in the tub in the bathroom for about 30 hours!!!! PUTRID!!!

You'd never do that would ya Oddjob!!!

OK - who's up on etiquette? I'm a non-uniformed consultant working in a uniformed environment. When I was going into a building on site today, a very high up top brass uniformed person walked out with a lower ranking side kick. Top brass saw me and said "Hello". I was really surprised and acknowledged him back by giving him his rank (e.g. <Very High Up Top Brass Person with lots of pips and things>) and a nod of my head.

I'm wondering now whether I should have said "Sir" instead which is what all uniformed personnel would have done... I normally, when speaking to not quite so high up uniformed personnel do call them by their rank. But this time I'm wondering if I done wrong....

i'm pretty sure you're right, but can check... after all, you wouldn't salute him, would you?!

    I'll get back to you.

dh made up packed lunches for the kids for nursery tomorrow - school does not start until Wednesday for my lot. I've got their clothes ready for tomorrow. I only just remembered to put the bread machine on about an hour ago. I have a pretty awful bread machine and the only thing I can trust it to do is make the dough so I'm on here until the dough cycle is finished, it has risen and and been baked - might just be enough time to catch up with everyone:T

Just finished reading the thread - wow, I'm glad I did the bathroom on Saturday as I'd no time left after reading!!

Horrible journey to work this morning, and I'm very glad I'm not working toorrow, as it's going to be like an ice rink out there. From our house the road goes steeply downhill, then there's a right turn and uphill - I do hope the people in the house on the corner have parked elsewhere, as someone's bound to slide into them!

    :hello:To all the newbies!!

Hugs to all those in need of one, and good luck vibes for moam and her OH, and johanne's OH too.

Going to watch some TV, then bed...

Good luck vibes needed.... OH has decided after much thinking to go for the promotion to supervisor that has come up in work... its the job he originally applied for but didnt get... he has since shined though.... and so were hoping he's in with a good chance. :o It means his hours changing but would actually be better hours and £2000 a year extra which we rrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeaaalllyyy need... i know how good flylady vibes are and since he is handing in his application tonight or tomorrow (whenever he can see hr) can you all send some positive good luck vibes his way???:o:o:o:o THANKS GUYS!!!

johanne - I picked up on your tip a while back, so I'm using the same page numbers as you!

Lots of positive vibes, and happy to help out with interview questions/technique etc. if necessary (if HR rather than manager advice is needed, ask hex though, she knows how to do the scary HR person stuff!)
