    Happy Birthday Rach!!!

Haven't managed to motivate myself much so far, DPs out, he took the dog this morning before he went so I will do this afternoons. Suggested taking kids to the park but they have decided they don't want to - they will later when they get bored of what they are playing with.

What I NEED to get done today is

Sort through this weeks diary see where I am and when
Put 4 loads of laundry away
Sort uniforms for tomorrow (in with that laundry)
    Bath/scrub children
    Empty DW
    Think of something for dinner....forgot
Meal plan (because I keep having this 'what's for dinner' problem)

One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb

Orkneystar - can I ask you about the real nappies? What made you get them? This actually ties in to my essay....changing consumer behaviour :D

There's thread about this on Green & Ethical that may be useful... in fact, there are a few there that might help. Sounds interesting!

    In short:-
    1. Cost, and you can actually get them even cheaper than I did, I borrowed some and bought some new ones, if you are lucky you can get them on freecycle or borrow them all etc. Cost goes down if you use them on more babies (some of my borrowed ones been used on 3 babies so far and likely more will use them!). Terry squares are the cheapest I think but I used shaped nappies.
    2. Reduced environmental impact (yes you have to wash them but there is no nasty chemicals left to rot in a landfill!).
Disposables have a distinctive smell which real nappies don't, and they also look pretty cute :). I use real nappies all the time now, except on holiday as impractical, and sometimes real wipes too. Real nappies are not as much work as people often make them out to be, this said it is completely mum and dad's choice to use them or not!
Ok, hth. Better get moving now!

    cake-077.gifRach - have a great day

It was definitely still cold here last night - there was thick ice on my car when I went to bed. It is sunny now though, so a bit warmer than yesterday!

gerturdeanna - well done on the tidy house

sexymouse - glad you popped in, was wondering where you were

Well I didn't make it to church today as I woke up at 9:54 and church starts at 10 :o Should have set the alarm, but it seems wrong to do that at the weekend! I have a load of washing in the machine and no more that needs doing :D Must catch up with my list now so will be back for a HHC or 2 in a bit.

    Morning everyone,

Well this morning got off to a late start as I wanted to give Sinead chance to have rest and recover from yesterday. It seems that the warning signs were there yesterday I just missed them. Some one that takes Sinead to a church group on Saturday said she had been complaining of being tierd all day. Today though she is much brighter and back to her normal self which if great relief for me.

I have finished cleaning the bathroom, I used the bathroom wipes to clean around the sink, bath and yacky toilet. I even managed to mop the floor too so it is very clean and very nice. It does not help that I have a phobia of toilets which is very weird and can make cleaning it tricky.

I have a list of things to do but going to take things steady today.

    In my HHC...

... I had shower (realised that I'd taken the shampoo & conditioner down to refill them, and havne't done it yet), opened all the windows to air the house, turned back the bed to air, dealt with the floordrobe before it got out of control, put some more stuff in the DW, cleaned the loo, S&S the shower, cleaned my teeth and got dressed!

    So now I need to...

... refill my shampoo and conditioner and take the chicken & broth out of the slow cooker. It should be lunchtime then (chicken salad :D ), and after lunch I'll get my work sorted before doing any more flying

Thanks greenbee - I'm looking at how we change consumer behaviour. So how can the govt, businesses etc look at making consumer behaviour more sustainable. So Orkneystar (along with the majority of OSers I think) is concerned about the environment, as well as cost.

I'm off to the Green & Ethical Board...dont think I've been there before :D

VivW near where I work then - I am on the 'Sheff' side.

I love that part of the country. When I was young and a student I always wanted to move to Sheffield. I never have done but find it amazing that both my elder two have lived in that region. Joe went to uni there, met a girl and has stayed there ever since. Sian met a guy who lived in Chesterfield, and they set up home together in New Whittingham. Although she has now moved back to Norwich, she still visits friends regularly in Chesterfield
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
