Doing quite well this morning OH has just some back from the tip and is now washing the cars. I have spent an hour in the utility and have thrown out loads of junk. I'm going to get ruthless I think as the house is full of stuff we never use and now that there are only two of us I can get rid.
    Happy Birthday Rach

    Morning lovelies!

    Happy Birthday Rach!

Managed to get to sleep in the end was gonna tell you what time I got up but I can't remember - that's bad :o think it was about 9ish  Since then I've

    hoovered right through downstairs
    loaded the DW
    cleaned the kitchen entirely
tidied & cleaned the spare/pc room
    tidied the living room
    done school dinner money envelope
    put WM on
made my bed (hoovered the room last night)
    put rubbish in bin outside
    made brekkie
    done a meal plan
done shopping list for this week
brought a big cake thing out to defrost
    checked bank
    text 2 people
    taken phone call from rellies

Last night I changed my bedding & hoovered the room....hoovered the hall/stairs/landing....and hung some washing on the maiden, I also checked my emails and have one back off the asbo guys re: next door, I've to phone her. I ordered 2 x xmas pressies for this year for littley - boxset of 10 Enid Blyton's Famous Five - half price (but not in stock yet) and a something the Bart by JK Rowling both come in at a tenner :j :money:

Waiting for rellies now but apparently there's a severe weather warning and flooding over the A66 so they said they may turn back - they're both in their 60's so don't blame them, hope they get here though.

Just popping on to read some posts, but tbh I don't think I will make the 6 pages that have appeared!!
You lot don't half talk do you ? I hope you don't mind me sitting on the edges, picking up bits here and there!
Anyway, off to shower and do some other bits n bobs, no Church today as so tired and back hurting. DH has gone and DS is in his cot throwing pieces of Noahs Ark (not the real one) and his bus across the floor! He loves throwing stuff and I just love (*sigh*) picking it up again!
Take care ladies, fly fly fly, but remember to get some r and r, esp those of you who have been feeling tired/ill recently (angelnikki, flylady flower and the rest of you, you know who you are!!). Quite organised this morning, got pork strog in the slowcooker and an oatmeal loaf in the bread maker :).
Happy birthday Rach, nearly missed that one, have a lovely day :). (And Valli, and Rach, I really hope I did not tread on your toes with my post yesterday- I hope you can forgive me for jumpiing in head first lol). Very jealous of your walk Valli, I need to do things like that more but with the wind here its such a struggle walking against it with my sore back- will def need to do a little at a time!
May not get on later to update progress, so if not I will see you all in the new thread tomorrow.

  • Orkneystar - can I ask you about the real nappies? What made you get them? This actually ties in to my essay....changing consumer behaviour :D

Why oh why do they still make hand wash stuff??!! Will have to look more closely at labels before buying in the future.

Everything goes in the WM here, well not the kids obviously :rotfl: but clotheswise it all goes in.

Hand wash stuff gets done on either silk/wool or delicates with a low spin speed. Dry clean stuff goes on delicates. A lot of clothes have dry clean only as a back covering exercise IMO.
