Well finally home after a long week at work, haven't really kept up with the thread this week but tried hard on the flying front. The kitchen at least is in a good state.
Mumoffour77 - I hope you are getting lots of help cos you need rest to help you recover, have the doctors given you any idea of how long it will be before you feel better?
OH has just come home and said he has to work tomorrow - he works in Bridlington and they are expecting him to do this for no extra pay or time off. I think they are taking the p$$s as his contract finishes at the end of the month and he doesn't want to say anything as he stil thinks they might keep him on. They made redundancies just before Xmas but as he was on a contract they couldn't finish him as they would have had to pay him anyway, so I don't think he will be kept on.
And to top it all I have just found out they are opening a Lakeland in Beverley in the spring  I'm never going to have any money now:D0 -
Thank you all for your comments regarding the LR, it has given me the motivation to completely overhaul the dining room and kitchen(oh, and the spare room, that is in desperste need!!)
I am chilling now with a drink, does anybody care to join??:beer:0 -
Hi guys
Worked 9 till 5 today, just been to Asda cause I'd run out of stuff, picked DD1 up whilst there, come back, put oven chips in the oven...have got a Dicksons pie to go with it - comfort food :j and I've just skim read the thread, I noticed poohbear snuck in whilst no-one was looking hiya :hello: hope you're well? and Tooch no way should you be on this thread with a living room like that, be off with ya...only joking it's gorgeous and well done for getting it done :T
My house is a pit but.....I forced myself to tidy the living room befor work this morning (I'm getting quite good at talking myself into things :T ) cause I knew it wouldn't get done tonight and I didn't particularly want to be doing it tomorrow cause I need to spend my time on the actual cleaning. Oh and I loaded the DW this morning too so will clean the kitchen tomorrow.
Big Bro eviction tonight, so bought Pringles and a bag of mars bar type things to scoff yay!
ETA: Lil_me My DS1 is one of the ones losing their job at Nissan, they told him months ago it was earmarked for 27 Dec 2008 but it's still not happened officially, they keep bringing him back for another week now and again, which is a bit naughty of them really cause it means he can't really go elsewhere, not that there is anything to go to mind you.0 -

mumoffour no it's an N96. We expected issues with software, always is on new N phones, the thing that has rattled me is they damaged it! Then tried to charge us to fix it! Now after saying it'd be done before Xmas they phone today and say it's still not right.....
Valli, there is a specific section for mobiles, going to see if I can get a copy onlune of the 3 contracts and see if I can simply hold them to contract rather than issue loads of complaint letters, not scared to I even got Ofcom involved with Orange, just can't be fluffed if I don't need to. As for the brat, that's one less to invite next timeOne day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
embb, the only reason it is that tidy and clean is all the support we all get on here, I have always liked to have the LR tidy but never had the support to go and do it and keep it up!!! So I would like to thank all you lovely ladies for the motivation.....0

Toots thank you, mum and dad are helping out:) as are my friends, one is coming out tonight with dvds for my kids and his kids:) I can go to bed for a while and he is comfortable enough to make them all some "cinema snacks" and he will make sure they clean up after themselves!! My best friend is coming tomorrow to take the kids to see their dad in hospital and to let him know that im unwell, then she is going to entertain them for a few hours:):jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -

. So I have asked DD if she thanks when she goes there ...
She (the friend) does say thanks now when I give the girls a lift partway to school (because it's on my way - DD and DS walk when I am not at work.) I will regard her as a 'work in progress'.
They gor a Wii for xmas in that family. Between the kids. That was it. Oh DDs friend gor £5 from 1 aunt and £10 from another. Maybe that's why my DD appreciates what she gets, having a friend from a 'poor' family (compared with us...I am just above free schoolmeals income:rotfl: )Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
