Well I cleaned the downstairs loo and chucked out some very old paint that was no good to any one. It had been in there for so long it looked really horrible and made me feel sick touching it.

Mum shocked me by cleaning the kitchen, it is not perfect as my mum is not very good at cleaning. But hey it is a good start and a great help as I can get around it easier to bottom it in the morning. (It needs doing its pretty scary I have a months worth of washing if not more and not enough elec to cover it)

Finally nearly broke my arm today as well, misjudged the gap between the light and the door frame and yeah of course my arm smacked into the door frame. It hurt like crazy and looked blue and dented but it is fine now.

    Hugs to all,

    Zoey

pigpen we crossposted earlier - as someone who was 14/15 and went to sleep overs, I wouldn't leave them :rotfl: Sleeping arrangements, when you explain it to them you will see if they are completely mortified if your suggestion of one bed doesn't go down well. I remember being 'on' on a sleep over, we usually kipped on a giant sofa bed, 1 between each 2 of us (was always 4 of us) so asked that night to kip on my own. I know my parents wouldn't allow me to stay if the childs parents were not home, if they even thought a 17 year old male was in charge they'd have had a fit! I think I would be the same as SarahS. I also wouldn't leave them because if something happened it's not just my children. I am sure hubby will get over having to stay in! As for being asked to look after her until Sunday she'd be told NO, because people like that get into the habit of asking.
Oh pigpen with tiddles, I used to make DS2 start any late naps in his pushchair for exactly that reason when he was little and I had to collect DS1
Valli your various should be in alphabetical order of genre, eg Ballads, Classical, Pop, Rock etc :o
hellsbells well done at the savings so far. We cancelled the movies etc, went from nearly £40 to £24 I think it is now.
    toochoosey well done, looks wonderful!
JennyBee reason it's all there is simple, nowhere else for most of it and the 2005 bits because the bin was too far away to walk!
Gryfon strangely yes, because all of the mess isn't mine so I wouldn't feel guilty.
poohbear nice to see you pop in :)
JillD tortillas are really easy to make, I only buy them if they are on a good offer.

Computer desk, the one in my room we use now is VERY tidy, only thing that is 'extra' is a piece of paper we have been using instead of a mousemat :D bought a small one so I didn't mess it up. The old one still in the conservatory is still a mess since it was used last, will do it when I venture in there.

Horror stories from sleep overs, well that's how a friend had her son when she was doing her GCSEs (went into labour in the exam hall) another friends house someone told some lads they seen my friends parents go in the club (around the corner) so they decided to 'pop in' by the time the parents heard and go back there stuff was stolen and they smashed a window.

Appropriate stuff, depends what it is, my sons are most commonly caught staying up with the TV on quiet to watch 'River Cottage'....With films I usually decide what I feel is appropriate, age recommendations I ignore and use my own judgement. If I had other peoples children over then it would be reconsidered again.

Right, have I caught up? I hope so, that took me a while. Well I've taken all the pain relief I am allowed for now, hasn't touched the sides, joys! I do however have a ratehr 'spinny' feeling in my head. I've just had what was left of my riceless risotto, could eat it again :o yummy!

Going to do some consumer rights digging tonight, DPs phone argh! They've had it back twice now, the first time they damaged it (it was brand new and went back immediately for software problems) he's had it for the total of 2 days in the, over a month? since he got it! The shop called today to say it's back in but they think it needs sending back again as the case (where the repair centre damaged it) still isn't right. He's a bit annoyed. Need to find a copy of his contract with 3 or a copy of someone elses so I can check T&Cs.
One day I might be more organised...........

Not too bad this week but haven't managed to catch up on the thread at all so big hugs to all who need one and hope everyone's well. Plan overthe weekend is to finish the list tonight and tomorrow. Paper cupboard now done and i don't plan on going near it for a very long time.:rotfl:

We've found out that the building work will not be starting before april and that we would really be looking at July or later, so i'm abit depressed about that but think if thats the way it's suppose to be then so be it.

Right better get kiddies to bed before BIL comes up and fixes the laptop and computer, spending time with my lot is the best birth control ever according to him cause there so hyper when they see him.:rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
