JillD - I won't join your weight loss challenge, as I don't weigh myself (too scared  ), but it's a great idea, and if you're interested in doing some walking, let me know. I may be working in Reading occasionally for the next few months...
only just read this properly. Let me know when you are in Reading and maybe we can meet up or something. timing is tricky as I have school run in the morning then a pick up at lunchtime and one mid afternoon and the baby has to sleep but hopefully we can arrange something!

yes it would hurt, esp the first time you do it, that's why I said, after the feet have healed up a bit!! But you can also dilute it with water a bit, and then it hurts less. My son uses it on his eczema, and before the cold weather hit(which makes it so much worse) it was clearing it up really fast and then keeping it at bay.

still, what's a bit of pain:rotfl: we are women after all, used to pain!!

Aw mudbath - you know what it's like when your due date isn't far off. I seem to remember enthusiastically cleaning out my chest freezer when I went into labour with the last one!

I was scrubbing the bathroom when I went into labour with DD :rotfl: I blitzed the house top to bottom and did the weekly shop in a day... but then she was 4 days late and I wanted her OUT :rotfl::rotfl:

ragz/nicki we have a laptop that does that, you can get new batteries. I always run mine off the mains whenever possible (removing the battery) to reduce damage to the battery from constant recharging

The laptops in school are kept in a laptop safe which is constantly plugged in - but then again with 120 pupils having access to just 24ish laptops (plus the 5 teaching assistants use them) the batteries don't last very long so they need to be charged a lot. That's why I've had mine set up to connect to the school network - at least I know my battery lasts about an hour or so before it shouts at me so I can hide somewhere and use it ;)

The school have been told about not putting them on charge constantly, but ATM they have no choice as the batteries just aren't lasting  And if I have to wrap up one more power-pack I may just start using some very choice language around the children :mad: They've all been told how to do it, but they still just throw them in so I have to stand there are sort them out as it seems to have unofficially become my job

Batteries - don't keep them plugged in all the time. Charge them up then run them down. If they're running down quickly, try recalibrating. Run it down, bung it in the freezer in a plastic bag over night, charge up fully and run all the way down without switching off, so it knows how long it lasts. Then recharge, but don't leave it plugged in all the time or it will happen again. Either charge & drain or work off the mains with the battery out.

I'll be trying that one - thank you very very much!!! :D

  • Hello Flyladies. I'm just popping in to see how you all are. I haven't even done any fluttering today, let alone flying. After 6 days of feeling ill and hardly eating I think I must have that Winter vomitting thing. I went back to bed today while DD was at school. At least when I'm asleep I'm not sick or dashing off to the loo.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

No flying done today, except if you count my hair going across the room as I pulled it out in frustration :rotfl::rotfl: I ran out of time for my assignment so I just copied & pasted my notes into the document and submitted it :o At least I submitted something so that's better than not submitting it at all ;) (there's the teachers from school talking there... :rotfl: ). Most annoyingly though, I logged into the "submit TMA" part of the site at 23.58, I submitted my assignment at 23.59 according to my computer, and the OU system said it was 00:00 so it was late :mad: Emailed my tutor and asked if thats a problem or not so I'll have to wait and see.

I'm going to take my frustration out on the house tomorrow by cleaning it top to bottom (except for the bathroom as thats already been done this week so a quick S&S will do in there ;) ) and having a flinging session - the binmen come again on Saturday and I only have 1 binbag of rubbish in my bin ATM so plenty of room to declutter into ;) First priority though is to get my timesheet in and pick up some tea-tree oil from Holland & Barratt to try and discourage the nits from school on both me and DD (I sure I noticed some in the hair of a few year 6 kids today  ).

Right, bed time. Roll on Saturday and a lie-in. Night all

  • Hope you're feeling better CS - love the new sig, so true

JillD - your workmates ought to be ashamed of themselves - you're better off without the thankless barstools - stay on here - we appreciate you

Back at work today which is why I'm posting at silly o'clock - my new coursebooks from the OU arrived last night so I'll try and look at them tonight - luckily the house is looking good after 4 days on level 3 so I can relax a bit and not try 12 hour shifts and cleaning

Have a good day ladies - am a bit behind with the thread so big hugs to all, especially those with the sickies x
    I'd rather be watching CSI!
