Morning all - I am :j as I'm at home today! Working, yes, but I can cope with that!
So far I've hung up a load of wet washing, folded the dry washing, had a cuppa and half tidied the coffee table in the lounge, plus reply to a few emails
Next thing is to get another cuppa and my porridge before making a list both for work and flying. On my way I'll take all the recipe books back to the shelf where they belong. Half wish I'd booked leave for today but this is ok I think as I've some bits to do and this way can do from here.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Morning all,
I didn't wake up until 7.50 this morning so it was a mad panic to get Ds1 sorted and out the door by 8.15. Luckily i wasn't doing the school run:rolleyes:.
So far this morning i've put the wm on, tried and failed to get the cover off the car seat:mad: and taken the dry stuff off the airer. We're not even dressed yet:o.

Right, 3 weeks worth of time sheets filled in
Only taken me 30minutes! Now I need to do....timesheets, town (shopping), and I just checked and I HAVE to return the library books today - they're due back the 12 and there is no way I'm walking DD there tomorrow, and I'm not paying out for busfare so I best take them back today. Will put them in my well padded rucksack and do them now before I take my time sheets in as there's so many of them and their blooming heavy! Off to unpack my rucksack...

Thanks all (sorry saw other replies after I posted). I think I'm more disappointed in that he knows how to do it! I don't expect him to load it completely as for some reason he's never managed to grasp how to load properly so I think I may show him again. But for a few cups...argh!!! Glad it's not just me!
I'm tempted to put up some kitchen rules:
1. If there are enough things to fill the dishwasher please fill it and put it on rather than making neat piles of dirty washing.
2. If you use something put it back where it came from afterwards.
3. Shut all the cupboard doors/drawers before you leave the kitchen.
4. If you drop anything on the floor please pick it up straight away.
Do you think they'll complain if I write it out and stick it around the kitchen?Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Started to read through all replies but have had to give up I am so sleepy my eyes hurt. Looking around my house it looks clean and tidy apart from Bathroom, Kitchen and down stairs loo. I have not even washed up yet and I want a bath too but I also just want to sit and stay still.
I think that I may have over done it this week, I have done way too much and I think that might be why I feel so yack today. I know that I am not meant to be heavey lifting but I have been. This morning my other problem, (problem bowels) has flared up again. So think I am going to bow out for the rest of the week and pick up again on Monday. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
 Morning all. Cold here but not as cold as I would be on the mainland! Will get going when I've finished my coffee.
I have some advice to ask for. If I go out in an evening and leave a mostly loaded dishwasher that needs only 3 cups and a bowl put in (I counted) before it goes on, would you expect to wake up this morning and see that is hasn't been done? Or would you expect your husband to be able to put it on and even better unload it so in the morning I can put a fresh load on? Also food got out of the cupboard, like cereal, would you expect them to be able to put it back?
The answer is no. Asking far to much of the poor dears.:rotfl:The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

lol jennybee - you had to think about when baby will be due?! when i was so close i was counting minutes!!!!!! - and you better take it easy young lady!
odd isn't it? I'm normally really impatient but to be honest the whole thing has gone so fast and so well (no sickness at all, got a bit anaemic but nothing major) that it just doesn't seem like it should have come around quite yet!!! It's either that reason....or complete and utter denial!!!
right... I am in one of the smallest rooms in the house (study aka filing disaster area!) with the halogen heater on and that is where I'm staying until it is all done. I have no excuses.
It will be tidy by the end of the day!Jonathan Douglas born 20th January 2009 - 9lb 4oz

Full personal care for 4 clients bathing Toileting, peg feeding, supervising them eating. dealing with challenging behaviours.etc.

Cazzie congrats on engagement.
Dusty my birthday is July but Im retiring August 28th.
Soappie Manager said things would go smoothly. I hope so but she is carp at doing stuff so will be getting in touch with HR and works pension people myself..I need to put the date in writing to her. Have got my hols in up to March. She needs to find out what hols Im due March to August. The Trust would organise a do but I dont want that. All Ive asked is that we have a low key party with the clients who Ive looked after for 28 years. I do get a voucher for a gift from a place of my choice. Mine works out at £190.
JillD How mean and horrible was that. You are best off out of it. Big hugs cos I bet that really hurt.
Off to check broth and start dailies.0
