Gryfon - I do two washes - white and dark. Both get done on 40 acrylic in the washing machine, with prewash for whites if they're mucky. Oh and towels and things get a 60 wash. I check labels when i'm buying things and if they don't survive a normal wash then they aren't worth worrying about. In my opinion anyway.
Speaking of, must go empty the WM, and think about going to the shop to get something for dinner.

because SOME of us are fairly anal TBH - liking matched pegs and so forth.
I thought I was the only insane person who used to colour match pegs on the line. In the end, I switched to wooden ones so I wouldn't have to. Then I bought another, different, set of wooden pegs as I didn't have enough and so I'm back to "matching" my wooden pegs. (The difference is a different size spring.) I can't bear being like this, but worse is to not bother matching my wooden pegs....I really really can't do it!!

I was like valli last year, but I'm determined to rid myself of this obsession, so now I just fish around in my peg bag and peg stuff up without scrutinising the peg. I do get a slight feeling of anxiety when they don't match, but I'm trying to ignore it :rotfl:0 -
I need to vac up the drinking chocolate powder which DD2 has managed to get on the floor:rolleyes: Are my children the only ones who like to eat drinking powder rather than have it hot with milk?
Then I'm going to see if my jeans are dry. Atm I'm sitting in my dressing gown. I can't go out like this. Oh darn, just remembered my coat is in the wm too. Oh well, just have to get wet then.
Need to get some spuds in the oven - jackets tonight I think with, erm, something anyway :rotfl:0 -
Right - does look much on paper but looks much different in reality
in HHC i did:-
sorted coat rack - 4 shifted back into wardrobe
sorted shoe rack - 2 pairs slippers flung
folded all dry ironing - put away half, half still to iron
dusted LR
vacced rug (once i'd worked out how to use new vac - usually DH's job)
swept floor then mopped
emptied bin
am sitting drinking a quick :coffee: then another HHC at 3 - anyone around to join in?I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -

Noooooooooooooooooo - don't encourage Valli - she'll think she's 'normal' again. Talking of which - where is Valli? xx0 -
Actually I might start doing everything on the acrylic cycle apart from the towels which I'll put on cotton 40.
Right I think headache is starting to subside, just before the children get home which is typical :rolleyes:Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

When I have hot chocolate I heat up the milk, grab a heaped spoonful of chocolate, dip it in the milk and then use my tounge to get the top melted layer off, then dip again...once that spoonful is done I'll have another. Mr G isn't happy with me sticking the spoon back into the tub thoughFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
