  • Hello everyone..long time no see...well it is for me anyway!

    Dad seems to be picking up well and has agreed to talk to someone about his ordeal, which is great news:j

    Hubby has 'really really bad man flu'. This is BAD news, in the 7 plus years I have known him he has never had to take a day off sick...although there was a time about five years ago when he was sent home 2 hours early when he became violently ill - I think they were worried he would throw up on them! (sorry TMI I know!) Anyway to cut a long story short he has asked for two days A/L to take him up to the end of the week - well thats one less thing for me to worry about!

    I hope he is better soon I need someone to take the dog guard out of my car before it goes in part exchange (I know i'm full of sympathy for him):rolleyes:

    I hope everyone is well, I have not manged to catch up with anyones diaries over the last few day..I need someone to give me a shortish 'heads up' on the latest [STRIKE]gossip[/STRIKE]money saving thats going on here on the MFW boards.:D

    Really glad about your dad TPA.

    You know I don't think you get 'doing something for yourself' btw if the best you can come up with is a diet!!! Doing something for yourself ususally means going to the spa, getting a haircut etc.

  • Hello everyone, I've returned from being AWOL!

    As i'm sure you can imagine the passed few weeks have been manic. I feel like I have been on a roller coster of emotions yet trying to put a brave face on things and be strong for my mum and dad and pretend in work that I am actually awake and know what I am doing!

    Things are looking up, dad has finally arranged some counselling for which I am very greatful as I'm not sure what he has been through should be locked away in the back of his mind only to pop back out everytime he shuts his eyes.

    The police finally released the car early this week and I was able to go and get their personal belongs out of it. A very sobering experience that was. On entering the compound the first thing I saw was the other vehicle. Anyway Dads car was obviously a write off. I am so greatful he was driving the vehicle he was, as it saved him from more injuries. The interior cabin area looked almost intact but the footwell area had been pushed forward sustanstially-no doubt causing his leg/foot/ankle injuries. But he is alive and seems to be recovering slowly but surely.
    Now the car has been released the insurance company seem to be moving quickly which is good news.

    On a lighter note;

    I love my new car (hope thats not tempting fate:eek:) So far I have done 150 odd miles on an eigth of a tank:money:. The performace is good and I love the IPod dock-even though I don't have an Ipod I can plug a memory stick into it with hundreds of songs...yep i'm a girlly!

    The new dog cage fits great in the boot-even if the dog is not appreciative of it!

    Mystery shopping has vertually gone out of the window as I just don't have time at the moment to do much else (although I do have two for tomorrow!)

    Money saving has turned into money spending:o:p. I havn't a clue where we are up to..but hay ho that is the least of my worries at the moment.

    Right i'm off to do some house work as my lovely home resembles an all male student pad at the moment - i've never been overly house proud but really the mess at the moment is beyond!

    Thanks everyone for your support, promise I'm back on baord now and will try to bore you daily with my ramblings!
