Ok, It's offical.....I'm carp when it comes to saving in February:mad:
Spent £16.15 today:eek:
£10 on a lottery ticket (although it does cover the next 5 weeks-and it is in budget planner)....excuses excuses
£6.15 on rediculous food items that we did not need but as it was snowing I felt compelled to go to the local shop and buy some lovely comfort food:rolleyes:
I did manag eto open a bank account yesterday via Quidco for £50 cashback and 6% fixed on savings (only up to £2,500 though:mad: )for the next year.
Overall I got one fixed at 5% one at 6.5% and this one also at 6.5%, they all have fairly small savings limits/x amount per month but still worth it, just need to decide how to split the money up now for best return...and right down the dates that the fixed rates end, I'm going to need a big writting pad...(ah loves stationery..hates excel!:rotfl: )MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
  Should have known, Tracker mortgage interest rates down by 0.5% , Tesco savings rate down by 1.01%
Ever feel like your fighting a losing battle?MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
BIG Spend day today!! £35 for dog hotel (AKA kennels..but he thinks he's on holiday!)..he's male...easily confused:p
Also went to Greggs for lunch...what is the matter with me this week
Off to London tomorrow, all paid for but bound to be something I just cannot resist:rolleyes:
Forgot to ring Barclays to reduce my monthly mortgage payments further to interst rate reduction...i'm a plonker:mad:
When I return from my w/e away I will
1. Make phone call to Barclays as mentioned above
2. Give myself a good talking to re pointless spending
3. Ensure I have lunches sorted for next week
4. Check all payments have gone through to new savings accounts
5. Double check % rates of said savings
6. Sort out food in freezer..still not sure what/how much is in there
7. Collect dog from kennels:rotfl:
Hope your all doing ok in these cold snowy conditions

Have to take my mother out shopping tomorrow..but I WILL be a good girl and only buy essential grocerys. Doing quite well on that front actually as last weeks shop was done on the Saturday before last so it has lastest a week and half!!
