Finally managed to move a bit of our savings around to get a higher interest rate:T The only problem was whilst I was on the phone transfering money the dog decided to try and befriend the cat who promptly wacked him accross the nose...left right, left right, like a pro boxer....goodness knows what the bank agent thought:rolleyes:

Tried some that don't go via comparison sites or brokers like Direct Line?
    Mine's £350 on a 3.0L S-Type covered for 18000 miles per year (comfortably more than I need).
  • Woops yesterday turned out to be an expensive one:mad:

In my defence w had visitors and it was valentines and a birthday so we had a takeaway £17.50 and big bag of potatos (long story best not to ask:confused: ) another £5. So at £22.50 it was an evening I could have done without...and boy I have been paying for the takeaway in more than monitery terms today IYKWIM;)

  • OK heres a very self indulgent weekly roundup:

    Took lunch to work everyday:j :j :j

Spent my paypal funds on very practical warm knickers:D ;)

Spent far to much on the weekly shop..over £50 for two adults and no alcohol is v v naughty:mad: :p Would have been fine if it included a few bottles for me:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

'Garage stash' is now 3 bottles of wine lighter (how on earth did that happen:confused:  )

Don't think I sold anything this week:mad: must try harder this week
Managed to move around some savings into much higher rate account:D

Made extra money by doing a second evening job once this week:A

Will not do a supermarket shop this coming week to try and make up for last week....have made veggy soup (v smelly with garlic) enough for next week or so.

Hope you are all keeping well

Well done on all that :T:T
  • OK confessions over first....I spent £3.30 today...I bought a roll for my lunch, a paper, crisps and a scratch card:eek:  Ok here comes the excuses....After our Indian blow out on Saturday I have had the most terrible wind ...sorry TMI I know...but I think I am soley resposable for a hole in the ozone layer the size of my bum:o I didn't think it was a good idea to risk the home made veggy soup when I was already lovely and warm due to my over bearing wind:eek:

Went to town in my lunch break to open a Principality regular saver as recommended by :money: (I'm his love child you know:p ), only to find out the rate had dropped yesterday!!! Argggggggggggg. Anyway rate now at 4% fixed so I left it...I think this is called cutting of your nose to spite your face:confused:

Good news is I finally sold my bike and picture so thats another £65 in the cash pot. Hubby has a terrible habbit of withdrawing cash from the bank and having no idea what he has spent it on. Therefor any cash we gain by selling items is fair dinkum. No 'bank cash withdrawels' ever! We pay for all our groceries and petrol desiel etc on cc, paid off in full at the end of very month and gains us Tesco points. So the cash is for those little extras...naughty lunch, papers etc..

Talking of Tesco vouchers we had £21 today and should get the ones from our CC tomorrow day after (they always come a few days later) I spent a load of these of christmas pressys...magazine subscription etc.. so have £186 worth left now, also bought RAC cover with them for last few years.

Will do extra hours again tomorrow night so more ££ for the kitty...although the time wages take to pay out it could be 2011 before it is counted:mad:

    Hope you are all ok
