Did you miss me yesterday
:rotfl:
Sorry, I was very busy!! Working my two jobs and earning extra ££
Good news as I mentioned before I sold my bike on Monday and it looks like i've sold huubys now too...chap coming to collect tomorrow so fingers crossed another £40 for the pot:T
I've done so many miles for work this week I feel like i've gone round the world and back again. Oh well I will be pleased when the expenses are finally paid (normally within 3 months, although I did once have to wait 9 months:eek: ...ah the pleasures of working for the NHS..at least they are 'generous' with their pennies per mile to make up for the slow payment:rotfl: ) Talking of expenses I filled in my claim form and sent it for processing (so might get payment by Christmas  )
2nd lot of Tesco vouchers arrived today so we have a collection of £200 + of them now...just need them to do their wine offer again (vouchers worth double when used against wine online.....now thats my kind of deal, although 4 x would be even better!!)
Hubbys been paid and has transfered £1050 into savings so a pat on the back for him..I'm afraid mine won't be anywhere near that amount -as a lowley female I don't earn as much as him, despite having good qualifications:mad:
I get paid next week so I can put a total together for this month then.
Well i've waffled more than enough.
Hope you guys are well and are saving hard!

PS nearly forgot..I sucummed to the bright lights of Asda today and spent £12. But (here comes the excuse!) it wasn't really spending as I paid for it with silver and coppers, so it doesn't count..right?? lol (sorry if you were behind me in the queue:cool: )MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
You're a chatty bunch this week:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:MFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0

Those blooming bright twinkling lights of Asda called me in again today (I'm not safe when I work near a supermarket:rolleyes:
Anyway it wasn't really my fault they had diet coke on offer at 16 cans for £3..so I HAD to buy them...didn't IUsed cash rather though, but still it was another £10 to add to yesterdays £12 whoops
Hubbys bike finally went so that was another £40 to the pot.
Car has to go into garage tomorrow after a little incident on the weekend when hubby thought i was going to rear end a little mini in front (I thought I was too:eek: ) Anyway an expensive month for the car as tax due and now the brakes...will double to value of it by taxing and new brakes!!:p
Aww whenever I talk about brakes it rminds me of the time i was learning to drive (a long time ago now:cool: ) anyway the instructor asked me 'what should you test after going through a puddle..after a long pause I gave up, he said you should brake..why I ask, he replies because they may be wet and not work as throughly...I say...what the brakes are in the wheels:rotfl:

Ahhhh those lovely two legged expensive things, that grow up to be grunting teenagers and then to adults that want help with their credit card bills:rotfl: Think I will stick with the dog and cat, at least you can kennel them whilst on hols and you don't have to buy them ice-creams at the seaside:p
Bad news on the car front, took it to the garage today for discs and padsi'm a women i don't understand these technical things, anyway I do understand it cost me nearly £157:eek: In fairness only £50 of this was labour so I should be greatful we have such a good garage locally, but that along with the car tax that is due at the end of the month and last months MOT means I must have doubled the value of my focus lol:rotfl:
Hubbys just gone out to buy a kebab and theres a bottle of wine in the fridge. We are both going out tomorrow night too, him to rugby, me to bingo:rotfl: so more expense there. :rotfl: Also my hair is in desperate need of a cut and its mums party next weekend.......I need more things to sell:mad: May have to raid the £2 coin terimundi:eek:

I know you've all been waiting with baited breathe for my weekly roundup, so here it is:p
Won £50 on my night out last night, enough to cover mine and hubbys nights out with about £10 left over...yehee free night out:j
Sold two bikes:j
Worked extra on Tuesday:j
Sent of work expenses:j
Hubby got paid and moved over £1050 to savings:j
Tesco vouchers arrives- please please do the wine offer again Mr. T:rotfl:
Was absolute rubbish at taking my lunch (so bad I don't think I can add it up:rolleyes: )
Rubbish at no spend days:mad:
Car in garage- cost £157:mad: (Although brakes are fairly essential)
Overall i've been pretty rubbish this week, although in the grand scheme of thing I've not actually spent that much money-except on the car:cool:

I'm sure you do understand brakes and discs; price looks quite good, but, I have to ask how did it pass the MOT if the discs were worn?
The Focus is a good workhorse, OH has the estate and it really helps when carting things around e.g. when she takes her Brownies camping (my idea of absolute hell but she enjoys it ).0 -

Discs were on the 'warning list' from the MOT, was told they should have about 3k miles left at that point.
My Focus is a work horse, used to carry the stinky dog around etc..but I have to say I really dont like it, there is not enough 'omph' from a stand still for my liking, i'm not botheres once it gets going but it would be nice to cross a roundabout with out having my heart in my mouth:cool:
Hubby has a newer/nicer car that the dog is not allowed anywhere near..well only in an emegency:D
Brownies yum yum...oh sorry you ment the schoolg girl type, not the chocolate baked ones:rolleyes:

You obviously don't have the 2.0L Ghia like my wife; I do have to remind her that rapid acceleration does reduce the fuel economy; she just asks what I get from the 3.0L Jaguar....
(btw: before you criticize the carbon foorprint, OH doesn't drive many miles per year, I do all my driving mainly on dual carriageway and motorway and the oil & gas companies are major clients for my job so I need them to stay in business by paying so much at the pump - bless them, their shareholders and the Treasury!)0 -
I see...

Ah yes, thats why I drive my 1.6 Focus and not a bigger engined one that actually moves...its because i'm worried about my carbon foot print...like naughty naughty Mrs Stuart:p (I'm just jelous because I want her 'faster bigger' focus lol:rotfl:
MrS do you think you might be even better at excuses than me?:p
