OK confession time, when I postd earlier I was feeling well and truely fed up, work is very stressful at the moment and i am very tempted to hand my notice in.
We could get by on hubbys wage, as the past few months have proved, however I don't want to just get by, I have ambition for us in the future to move to a small holding and live a more simple life, however this is not going to happen if I don't work.
I have done this job for 16 years and really enjoy the 'patient' side of it, but I do not enjoy the politics or being pushed so much and not having time to do things correctly. AHHHGGGGGGG....what to do
I wish there was something else I aspired to, but alas I cannot imagine doing anything else. I'm not accademic but have worked very hard in my field to be the best I can, pushing myself to take extra qualifications and getting no thanks/recognition for it (but I have to say the learning exerience itself was an achievement and to some extent thanks in itself.) If you have been following my thread you will have noticed spelling is not my strong point, and this has always effected my self confidence to do anything new.:o
Anyway back to money saving!
I think I have got to grips with all the regular savings accounts I have set up and decent (ish) fixed rates. We will have to withdraw from our basic savings accounts to pay into some of these on a monthly bases but thats ok, I just need to keep a handle on things!!;)
This week has not been great for money saving as I didn't manage to sell any of the items I advertised this week:mad: Although I did manage to sell two other items that I advertised a while ago.
Shopping this week was ok, spent £25 on main shop but had to stop in the local Spar shop today and spent £10:mad: (Hubby was with me, fatal mistake!) But £35 overall this week not bad for us, but I know we could improve on our normal £50 budget:eek: Bearing in mind the shopping we have been doing lately has been subsidised by the freezer stash.
I think sometimes its easy to chastise(spelling??) ourselves and not remember what great steps we have made in money saving/not spending on unnecessary things.
Anyway enough waffle from me

I hope your day got better:D.
I haven't noticed anything wrong with your spelling ( If in doubt - there is a good dictionary at dictionary.com.)

Hello everyone,
Well theres some major news from me today, and its going to have a big impact on money saving:mad: . I gave up Mondays today..in work that is ekkk a 5th less work, but its the day I have with loads of extra responsabilities, which also then impacts on the rest of my working week. When i spole to my line manager I realised I had definatly made the right decision, I emailed my intensions, she rang me and said..'are you happy with that' I said yes and she said 'ok i'll bring in a change form tomorrow:mad: Oh its so nice to be appreciated:rolleyes: .
Anyway I feel strange tonight (even more than normal:p ) I'm not sure if its relief or shear terror!! I know its the right decision but its still scary, imagine how i would feel if i handed my notice in completely:eek:
Thank you so much for your support

As SMF2 noted, there are some good online resources. If you use Firefox, you can add dictionaries to your search engine window (Wikipedia for definitions is quite good, Merriam-Webster for spelling) but it will also spellcheck in your data entry forms like this window on MSE when you reply to posts, so you will get an indication of those to change and hence you will naturally get more confident.
It sounds to me that you are having a lot of stress, but try not to "go too far" and don't burn any bridges. If you can, sit with OH and review just like a formal appraisal on the good and bad points of the job and wider issues, this should bring some clarity to the situation and input to help you.

Hi TPA,
Just wanted to send you Hugs :grouphug:0 -
Hi TPA,
Wow that moved quick. Why are you feeling concerned and uncomfortable - is it the money or your boss' reaction?
Kind Regards

Sorry if I'm being silly - does this mean more work for you i.e. you still have those responsibilites or will the four days be easier now?
I'm sure you've made the right decision, change is always a bit scary.
P.S. I haven't noticed any spelling problems, its not my strong point and I'm a secretary! I survive with spell check and the online dictionaryCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Boss's reaction just shows you've done the right thing :j, well done.
Lucky you, a whole extra day for money saving, mystery shopping etcA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thank you so much everyone, I really appreciate your 'vertual support' Some times its easy to write things on here and get it off your chest, rather than explain to those closest to you.Boss's reaction just shows you've done the right thing :j, well done.

Thank you Gallygirl, hubby says they are going to be 'money saving mondays':rotfl:
I'm lucky, hubby has been very supportive over this, I slept really well for the first time in ages last night (mind you the fact I worked a full day then went back for more in the evening might have had something to do with that too:rolleyes: ) Anyway I am sure I have done the right thing. Also the 'big boss lady' asked me to take 3 months to make a final decision, so have three months unpaid leave for one day a week and if i'm still sure after that then I can sign for it properly. This gives me a bit of breathing space, but to be honest as long as the £ signs don't roll around my eyes I'm sure i'll stick to my decision.
I wish I wanted to do something else, but I actually love my job most of the time, however being a bit of a perfectionist I have to do things as they should be and to the best of my ability, I wasn't able to do this due to an overlap in my two positions. Anyway how much waffle was that!!:rotfl:
Any ideas for my first money making Monday???
