  • Sunday Update!

Week started of well with Co-op insurance finally paying £120 into husbands Quidco account:j

Took lunch every day bar one....but this was the day i gave blood so needed a treat, £1.80 for mushy pea fritter and chips:D and as Stuart said "TPA you forgot to add on the "benefit gained from having something you shouldn't" must be worth about 90p in itself, reducing the "cost" to you? :rotfl::rotfl:. Therefor it was totally justified:rolleyes: ...honest Stu said!

Still no takeaway this week (unless you count the lunch time chips:p ) Only one bottle of wine drunk from my garage stash:beer:

£22 spent on grocerys, really must get more into this eat from the freezer lark...even if we do end up with strange concoctions, still need to buy fresh fruit, bread and milk every week though.

Finally got round to doing the Budget planner, according to this we should be able to save around £1,000 per month if we are VERY careful. Trouble is with one goreous puddy cat and one very naughty dog, you never know whats round the corner, both are insured but naughty doggy will eat things hes not supose to...shoes, walls, furniture etcc....so is rather costly at times!!

Both got paid and managed to put £1,750 into savings this month:T

  • Sold my old glider exerise machine that has been a great coat hanger in the garage for the last year or so:rolleyes:
Promply spent the money in morrisons on my way home:rotfl: :rotfl:

Arrrhhh had water bill, seems lowering the payments was a little premature, we are £45 in the red:eek:

  • Me again!

Finally got round to saving the budget to the computer...no going back now.

Advertised 6 items on works intranet thinggy, had calls about three of them so fingers crossed! Need some cash as we are going to London next weekend..all paid for but will still need some spends.

2 more no spend days, lunch taken to work (healthy (ish) too, no more wine...aww i'm a saint

Free night out tonight as going to friends house, hubby will do a few jobs and she will feed and water us..yummmyyy, just petrol to account for and a bottle of wine from my garage stash...think I should change my name to 'Stash of Wine in Garage'!!!

  • I cannot believe its February already, think January has gone quicker because I have been wishing the days away to get to payday

OK so this is not a weekly roundup its a January 2009, first month of my new life round-up!!

    Work Lunch Times

Managed to take my lunch on the majority of days - hows that for a non comital of how many actual days I managed:rotfl:

    No Spend Days

Majority of days were NSD (diito commitment as above:rotfl: )

    Alcohol

None actually purchased but I do have a few less in my garage stash..who could have drunk those:confused:

    Savings

I am sooooo pleased with this one £1,750 moved into savings this month:j

    Extra Funds

3 extra evenings worked, one rug, one pair of shoes and one glider type exercise machine (AKA - coat hanger in garage) sold:j

    Interest Rates

Now this is the good and the bad, dropped for mortgage rate but of course also dropped for savings, so its swings and roundabouts really...help get me off i'm feeling sick:rotfl:

    Budget

Nearly forgot this...finally got round to completing a budget planner, its a real eye opener and think it will help me loads

Well heres to a good fanancial Febraury and continuation of my good work:beer:
