Hi LondonDiva,
There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas that should help you use it up so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

Mix it with some tandoori spice mix and coat/marinate chicken breasts with it before grilling them. Or maybe mix with curry paste, onions, mango chutney & cooked chicken to make a sort of coronation chicken."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

I use it to make carbonara:
for one person, use half a tub of creme fraiche, one egg and some milk to make sauce.
Cook pasta and fry bacon bits.
Drain pasta and add to bacon pan, mix.
Add sauce and cook over medium heat till done.
Season with black pepper.
your two tubs should feed four people.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I trying really hard not throw anything away and I have a tub of creme fraiche which has todays date on it, I'm sure it would still be OK tomorrow but does anyone have ideas how to use it up or can I freeze it? Normally we use it on pasta or fruit so I'm looking for anything else.
Thanks0 -
I had the same left over too. It was really nice with some slighty warmed ginger cake and canned mandarins with a bit of syrup to moisten the cake. Yum
You can add it to any curry or soup as well.Bless Martin's Little Cotton Socks. I thank him for giving us MSE. Look what its grown into!

It will likely be fine for a week after its date.
Delia's stroganoff requires it. I often make it:

It will be fine for a few days yet. I used a tub last week that was out of date on Boxing Day. I put it in some fennel soup in place of cream.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Creme fraiche is great as a pasta sauce - add some grated parmesan (or cheddar), some ham/fried bacon, spring onions, mushrooms or whatever you have in your fridge. Stir though the pasta - YUM!
Add to scrambled eggs for a posh brekkie.0 -
Thanks for your answers everyone I think I'll keep it in the fridge and work it into some dinners this week. Only trouble is it's full fat and I've just started Weight Watchers0
