Rather nice in a Balti sauce or mixed with sweetened cooked fruit.

Mix through fried mushrooms and garlic and serve over pasta- yum yum. Bother, now I don't want the frittata I'd planned for tea:rotfl:

Simple pasta dish - can use anything you fancy in it.

    Cook pasta,
Saute garlic and peppers if desired.
Add canned tuna and sweetcorn (again if desired).
Mix in creme fraiche - as much as you have/want, but enough to make a sauce. If you are baking it then it will dry out so add a bit more.
Add some tomato puree/sundried tomato paste to colour and flavour the sauce
I also add in some chopped black olives and some sundried tomatoes if I have any at this point.
    Add pasta and mix well.
Top with parmesan and bake in oven till crisp.

    Easy peasy!

I stir a dollop of creme fraiche and a handful of grated cheese into cooked pasta to make a sauce. I like using creme fraiche in fajitas instead of sour cream, and I use it in place of cream with rich desserts.

I also make a lovely sauce to go with steak - start with beef stock (I like it very strong - 1 oxo and 1/2 mug boiling water). Put this in the pan you cooked your steak in (while it's resting), stir to incorporate any crusty bits, and boil hard to reduce it. Add some cracked black pepper. When it's reduced to your liking, add a big spoonful of creme fraiche and stir until it's mixed in. It's delicious, but very strongly flavoured, so a little goes a long way!
